Special mentions: Das Boot and Stalingrad for German productions…Letters from Iwo Jima giving a Japanese perspective.
And one from left field: Attack, a 1950’s movie starring Jack Palance and Lee Marvin with Eddie Albert (a real war hero) playing an ambitious but cowardly company commander.1 -
Not a film but war books by Hans Hellman Kirst try to portray the psyche of the of the ordinary German quite well..Off_it said:Looking forward to someone coming out with how most WW2 war films don't portray the Germans in the correct light, or the impact of troops from the colonies/commonwealth - so basically we're all racist.0 -

The only ships lost were Hood and Bismarck. Prince of Wales was damaged but that’s it. Bismarck didn’t hit KG5 or Rodney once whilst they pounded her into a floating wreck.usetobunkin said:
