Lloyd talking about his feelings on a new contract here:

That comment (if the whole truth) suggests he hasn't been offered a new contract yet, which is crazy.2

Anyone heard the up-to-date news on Lloyd`s injury and how long he may be out?0

Apparently he’s just being rested but it will take a while. Ahadme is closer and back in trainingTunwellsaddick said:Anyone heard the up-to-date news on Lloyd`s injury and how long he may be out for?3 -

What you heard does not seem to match up with what Nathan Jones has subsequently said about it. I can understand why NJ chose to keep LJs injury secret in the run up to the Stockport game, but I cannot understand why he would continue to be vague if, as you later said, the player himself (you said "the horse's mouth" when Large Addick queried your source) has an exact diagnosis.No.1 in South London said:

Your thoughts on that would be appreciated. Also, "8 weeks" starting from when?. I couldn't work out from NJ comment exactly when the scan was.0 -
I think NJ's comment was along the lines of they were looking at something from the scan and something "else" showed up, which I believe to be the "stress fracture". I won't be drawn of NJ's motives and have no idea why he would continue to be vague. The rest of what you have quoted from me is accurate however and was indeed from Lloyd himself. 8 weeks from the scan results just before the Stockport game.PragueAddick said:

Out of interest Prague, what have you heard from NJ that doesn't seem to match up?0

I certainly don’t have anything beyond his statement, which reads:No.1 in South London said:Out of interest Prague, what have you heard from NJ that doesn't seem to match up?
“Lloyd’s injury is a bit baffling really. He completed the [Birmingham] game with no problems whatsoever, he trained on the Tuesday and then just felt something. We scanned something and something showed up that we weren’t scanning for so it was a real strange one.
I’m really not educated in this field but it’s not difficult to find info about such an injury on the web. Based on what you report I dont get why NJ would use a word like “baffling”.The reason I asked about timing was that i hoped it had been scanned in the week after the Brum game.1 -
Because stress fractures are totally weird and random things that aren’t actually mega common in footballPragueAddick said:

Nathan Jones either unwittingly or purposefully is a master at not explaining anything properly in a rather garbled and excitable manner.PragueAddick said:

Which means he will probably only miss Exeter and Peterborough league-wise. Could be a lot worse.Callumcafc said:https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/comment/5383110/#Comment_5383110“Had a chat with Lloyd Jones (who reckoned another three weeks).”3 -

High chance is a push considering NJ doesn’t like postponing and Posh are unlikely to have enough call ups. NJ might change his tune because of injuries but wouldn’t be surprised to see it go aheadpaulsturgess said:

If some of those injured are the ones who’d be called up, like Kanu, they won’t be called up anyway.fenaddick said:

I’d say it’s a high chance of going ahead. Don’t think Jamaica have any fixtures, and Peterborough played during the last international breakpaulsturgess said:

That was when we had a full squad. With several injuries and average form, why would we want to play if we can postpone?fenaddick said:

Pretty sure we were in a similar spot last season, the opposition called it off and NJ wasn't happy. As someone pointed out, would require Kanu to be back from injury & then selected anywaykillerandflash said:

Whatever the case, we need him back soon and another commanding CB in Jan0

He is over his eight weeks out prognosis and was meant to be running on grass a fortnight ago. Is he one of NJ's players who had set backs? Time out can lead to hammy or calf issues.0

8 weeks from @17th October is 12th December.7
