Was he called up?Ianaddick62 said:kanu wasn't in the squad for Sierra leonne last night injured maybe?
Went off injured during the Birmingham game so may have withdrawn in any case.
Rest and recovery might be better for him.2 -
He was definitely limping a bit on the post match celebrations video, so I suspect that's right about him being withdrawn

I know it was only 10 minutes but Dixon clearly has quality when you can get the ball to his feet. There was also a moment where he was back defending about halfway into our half and ran the 5 yards between two attackers so quickly that they didn't know what to do with the ball. Could be a serious prospect17

Good little cameo, have to say he doesn’t look physically ready for much more than cameos off the bench. Needs to beef up a bit1

Fairytale start with the trickery but can't really comment on how useful he'll be going forward until he has more minutes.2

Lively when he came on2

The kid is ripped! He's not getting any bigger!NabySarr said:Good little cameo, have to say he doesn’t look physically ready for much more than cameos off the bench. Needs to beef up a bit0 -
He'll get bigger under the training staff, with workout and meal plans. Look at TC!4

His running gait reminded me of Kevin Lisbie. I don’t have anything else to say yet other than it was good to get a glimpse of him and a hint at what he might he have to offer.1

Good that he’s already put to bed the doubters that he’d never play for the first team as well. Not only that but he nearly set up a winner all on his own in his short cameo.14

A Cruyff turn and a cheeky back heel to set up a scoring chance made for a good cameo.Exiled_Addick said:His running gait reminded me of Kevin Lisbie. I don’t have anything else to say yet other than it was good to get a glimpse of him and a hint at what he might he have to offer.1 -
The back heel was a work of art. 100% he was knew what he was trying to do and it worked perfectly. Just a shame it didn’t lead to a goal.Callumcafc said:Good that he’s already put to bed the doubters that he’d never play for the first team as well. The back heel was nice because it showed an awareness of where Leaburn was and a maturity to choose give the ball to a teammate who was better placed. Plenty of wingers we’ve had down the years would’ve got tunnel vision and dribbled down a dead end in the same situation.7

Dixon - Methven
Schwartz - Sandgaard
Alonso - Jiminez0 -
Also think it’s great Dixon came on when the Mount Pleasant youth team were watching. I know he’s not a Mount Pleasant boy but a few of them posted pictures with him and Karoy at the training ground. It’s just nice13

His build is similar to Lookman's when he first broke into the side.NabySarr said:Good little cameo, have to say he doesn’t look physically ready for much more than cameos off the bench. Needs to beef up a bit0 -
Think this means our Jamaican friend has been paying attention

What’s important is for those boys to see a lad from one of their ghetto’s making it to that stage. From relative obscurity in Jamaica to a massive league over here. That cameo will have only strengthened the links with Mount Pleasantfenaddick said:Also think it’s great Dixon came on when the Mount Pleasant youth team were watching. Exactly my point, not sure I’d have used the word ghetto though with no knowledge of how any of them grew up!Swisdom said:

I don't recall anyone on CL saying that he'd never play for the first team (although plenty weren't expecting too much).Callumcafc said:Good that he’s already put to bed the doubters that he’d never play for the first team as well. He said the above as far as I can see.golfaddick said:
Yeah, much better than the 23 scored by League One's golden boot winner eh 🙄WK6824Nine said:its an experiment and a seemingly good one, kaheim got 32 goals for his college team
Not sure what yo think of this. I thought we had moved away from signing non league players like Chris Dickson.
He didn't say he wouldn't play for the first team and Chris Dickson of course also played for the first team.1 -
He's never going to be a unit like Leaburn or Aneke as they are both naturally taller in build but he can build on his strength and muscle. Arguably the type of player he is would be better suited as a bit shorter with a lower centre of gravity for the spins and jinks he uses - Deon Burton is a great Charlton example of a forward who wasn't massive but was superb at using his whole body to manoeuvre and manipulate defenders.fenaddick said:

Dixon has much more pace than Burton ever did but if he can add a bit of brawn to that natural speed of his it can only be positive.1
