Whomever wanted to sign him/gave the green light to sign him need to be removed from their position this evening with immediate effect. On a par with Omar Bogle and Tomer Hemed. Offers less than me and I'm sitting at home watching this rubbish.5

this sort of thing just underlines how much hot air these plonkers have given about “the structure”. No structure of a proper football club of our (rapidly diminishing) size (as opposed to a quasi non league club like a Forest green or burton) could possibly be going so bleeding wrong as to dish out substantial money and a very long contract to such a carthorse …0

Seen enough...?1

At the time yeah. Ahadme has been abysmal tonight like the rest of them.paulsturgess said:

I don’t ever want to see this useless prick pull on a Charlton shirt again.2

Ahadme lost an aerial duel against no one tonight. Had no defender on him and just missed the header completely. Horrific footballer7

As poor as he’s been he’s another who I think would look better if we tried to play more football - he scored 11 even with a period out injured for Cambridge last season. That’s 10 more than he’ll score for us if we keep playing this way.3
-
Have you seen him when we’ve played the ball to his feet? He can’t play football, Cambridge weren’t exactly free flowing last season. All he can do is run and attempt to win headersScoham said:As poor as he’s been he’s another who I think would look better if we tried to play more football - he scored 11 even with a period out injured for Cambridge last season. He looks hopeless, but how on earth did he do so well for Cambridge just a few short months ago?0
-
He feeds on crosses. Our delivery has been, to put it politely, fucking abominable
He'd have scored today if Jones hadn't pinched it off him and missed5 -
Another in a long long list of players that look good then come to Charlton and look like they've never played football before.
Luke Berry is another, only at Charlton can you get a player who played 17 times in the PREMIER LEAGUE last season, put a red shirt on and look awful in league one.
This club is broken/cursed at its core.4 -
I’ve looked out for it in recent games and he’s had moments when he’s held up the ball and laid it off well. It doesn’t get noticed because we inevitably lose the ball soon after.NabySarr said:

Funnily enough Leaburn and Aneke have always looked better when we try to play football too.
None of them are going to dominate L1 CBs when the ball is constantly pumped in their vague direction.
Ipswich didn’t sign him off performances like this and neither did we.1 -
He was their penalty taker. Never scored many in open playLazy_eye_metaphor said:He looks hopeless, but how on earth did he do so well for Cambridge just a few short months ago?0 -
He’s technically no where near the level of Leaburn or Aneke. We need to play the ball to feet more 100%, but Ahadme just needs to be left out of the sideScoham said:

I can’t stop reading the “4 years” from the thread title, it’s just I’m reading it slower and slower…0
-
I expressed doubts when I first saw him in a friendly. He reminds me of a lower league scandanavian player who is tidy but that's it, Might get into low double figures in Norwegian lower leagues but talk of a million. FFS.1

Scored both their goals in the 2-2 draw here last season. Hence why we signed him and yes including a penalty.Oh Eddie Youds... said:

I'll keep reminding you all, according to my sources he was no good at Cambridge either.Lazy_eye_metaphor said:He looks hopeless, but how on earth did he do so well for Cambridge just a few short months ago?2 -
Of course Leaburn needs to start when ready with Aneke coming off the bench, completely agree with that.NabySarr said:

There aren’t many players this style gets the best from though.
Ahadme needs crosses and our crossing in open play and from set pieces has been dreadful, both in quality and the volume of the right kind of chances.
Play better football, get the wing backs into dangerous areas. Instead they’re having to pick out a perfect cross into a crowded box.
Where’s the passing, movement or change in tempo to get us into space or in behind defences? Our strikers barely miss chances because we don’t create much for them. When they do they tend to be half chances.0 -
Had a neutral mate with me in the away end tonight and he couldn't believe how bad Ahadme is. Utterly fucking useless

We aren't crossing because Jones has designed a side around formation with no wide players, and also nobody who can cross a ball even if they're not a wide player but happen to be in a crossing position.Scoham said:

But all these reasons for why we are shite are in no way any justification for any kind of argument that Ahadme is anything other than effing rubbish, you could have Beckham and Giggs on either side whipping balls in left right and centre, Ahadme might well get a couple more in off his arse just like Macauley Bonne somehow scrambled 11 goals in the championship for us - but he would still be and is, utter shite1 -
We’ve had some shit over the years and Ahadme is up there.12

Just said on another thread as the games become more toxic from now on Ahadme will end up being the first one to get the brunt of the boos. If he gets anywhere near the pitch I can see it happening Saturday2

Is he? Cambridge fans I read said they wouldn't miss him and they couldn't believe we were spending money on him.
In isolation, 11 goals for a poor Cambridge team looked good but I believe he scored just 7 in open play all season. All from crosses, none more than about 5 yards out. It wasn't prolific and those stats are actually pretty poor, especially when you think one of those in open play was against our pathetic defense.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Mitchell get 7 for us this season for example.
He wasn't good enough and still isn't good enough. He has time on his side but I generally don't see anything to his game that is stand out.
He looks a really poor acquisition so far. Hopefully he turns it around, I don't expect it. 4.5 years! Feck me.1 -
Bonne scored goals in the Championship. Purple patches do happen.Scoham said:

Form can change but ability isn't going to change much in seniors. We've all had a good look at his ability over the past few months, he looks like a very poor footballer.0
