Top man. What an experience. Great seeing our youngsters moving abroad.0 -

Memo - wear jeans. Fans more likely to buy if they see they can wear the shirt without having to be a full kit wanker.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
It wasn't, they also unveiled Alvarez, Sorloth and Le Normand plus some signings for the womens team as well.Callumcafc said:

We’re gonna get £180k as a solidarity contribution. Plus some extra as training compensation.3

The No 17 didn't get the memo to not tuck the shirt in.SporadicAddick said:

Apologies if this has been mentioned as just fleeting thru today, but somone told me we get 90k out of the deal. Never known that before, is this normal practice.0
-
Yeah they are “solidarity payments” and have been mentioned in a few threads about other former players. It’s not very well known but I think it’s been in place for at least a few years, probably longer.Chippycafc said:Apologies if this has been mentioned as just fleeting thru today, but somone told me we get 90k out of the deal. Sounds like he's making a great start0 -
Very typical Gallagher goal as well, think he's going to do well there if he doesn't have too much culture shockCallumcafc said:Scored his first La Liga goal0 -
Helps being in Madrid tbh, and at the slightly less glamorous side of the city in Atletico0

I'm genuinely so happy for the lad.
He wasn't one of our own, but he played every game like he was. I just loved watching him play and will always have a soft spot for him. Supremely talented and non-stop effort. They will love him at Athletico because he plays like Simeone.
Hope he continues to smash it in La Liga and the UCL.19 -
Palace want him back…1

Was hoping he'd go to Newcastle tbh. Would have fitted a Howe midfield with Tonali and Bruno G.Callumcafc said:Palace want him back…3 -

Surely he wouldn’t go back to Palace.2

He's a regular there isn't he?
Why on earth would he want to swap that for Palace?!3 -
He comes off the bench quite a lot, assume in a WC year he wants to be starting gamesNorth Lower Neil said:He's a regular there isn't he?

If the best move his agent can get him is a return to the Stripey's then he needs a new agent! Imagine going from a top three club in Spain with regular CL football, to the Conference league with Palace!7
-
Imagine moving from Madrid to Croydon11
