With a kiwi accent bare bear and beer are pretty much indistinguishable when spoken. So if you are out walking in Yosemite National Park one hot summer’s day and you meet a drunk kiwi carrying an empty chilly bin and they say “Gidday mate. Just around the corner is a picnic area where I’ve left a few b**rs if you fancy taking them on” the decision to run towards or away from the picnic area is all but impossible to discern.
