IF you could change one rule/law in football what would it be?

I’d scrap the rules that says the goals have to be equal size. We should be allowed a smaller one.3

Just blow the whistle, let the corner be taken and if someone is fouling someone, give the foul. They'll soon stop doing it.
you would have to let them both off which would lead to players targeting individuals to take them out the play0 -
It's not a rule change, but particularly in League One, when the defender has the ball and the attacker is behind them, they go down under the slightest touch of contact and get a foul given. I'd love to see this stop happening.2

No more than 6 passes of the ball to a team mate in your own half, after 6 passes the ball is turn over to the oppostion. England would be in trouble at the Euros.

That part isn't a new concept. I'm just swapping the red card for a penalty.Sending-Off Offences
A player is sent off and shown the red card if he commits any of the following offences:- S5 denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick

Throw ins. I thought they tinkered with the rule abt the ball being released behind your head a while back, but just googled it and I think I'm wrong? Either way the amount of balls that are just hurled onto the pitch these days without punishment is ridiculous. Id scrap it and say you can chuck it on however you want to. Players pretty much do anyway. Then you could get your keeper to start taking throws from just inside the opposite half. Launching missiles into the 6yrd box. Wenger's head might explode in anger, but we can't all play like Man City tbf.4

I'd happily replace throw ins with kick ins that can't go over head height, would speed the game up too2 -
Offside rule only kicks in after first goal scored.1

I'd like to see an extra line on the pitch between the centre line and the penalty area. If you're not beyond that line when the ball is kicked forward then you can't be offside - only if you are beyond that line. Should increase the number of goals scored.1

I’d scrap the offside rule altogether. Yes, it might encourage goalhanging at first but clubs would soon adapt just as they did when they stopped goalkeepers picking up passbacks which critics and a few pundits said would never work. They used to have off side in hockey but no more and the game is better for it.0

Anyone going down and grabbing the ball BEFORE the ref blows his whistle should be booked and the free kick go the other way and if it wasn’t even a foul it should be a yellow for a dive and a yellow for the handball
if does my fucking head in2 -

Ball should be a cube, and so no longer called a ball

I like the idea of daylight between the forward and defender, I detest the lines and toenails or shoulders disallowing goals1 -
I do wish that modern referees would penalise shirt pulling and tussling at set pieces!2
-
Add extra time at the end of each half that exactly matches the time taken for stoppages during the half.
I think they experimented with the idea a while back but referees insisted on adding what they thought was "about right". (Usually about twenty seconds for every stoppage no matter how long it actually took). Or just making something up if they couldn't remember!

It was good to see a foul throw penalised yesterday, there must be about 10 a match and they hardly ever get called.3
-
goalkeepers not allowed to play the ball outside their own penalty area0
-
A clock so that when the game is stopped for feigning injuries, timewasting etc (aka Orient) and us at times that everyone can see. Last week against Orient, they time wasted for 25 minutes in second half and only 8 minutes were added on (including for subs).0

I hate all the phaffing around getting the ball to the very edge of the quadrant at corners, for absolutely no purpose. Have the ball entirely within the quadrant and be done with it.5
