Absolutely buzzing about this. Can't control my excitement6

He was in the running for the Ireland job, awhile back. I thought he was going to get it, obviously thought he would hang on within the England setup.KBslittlesis said:Irish ain’t happy.0 -

Find it weird they have such a complex about English people playing/managing England when they're very happy with English peple playing/managing Ireland.KBslittlesis said:Irish ain’t happy.

Am happy with that... Having won the Euro U21s last year, and given what both Argentina and Spain have achieved by promoting from within, I think its the right course of action1

At the time Jack Charlton wasn’t overly welcome, it changed went results started to improve.North Lower Neil said:

How uninspiring.2

Worth a shot I suppose.
The positive is that Carsley was Under-21s manager rather than on the coaching team, so he should be able to come in with fresh ideas. Even though this would make it seem like a continuation.0 -
no surprise at all, he's part of the St George's clique .. we'll see if/how the players respond to this appointment0

"Back to Pickford"
Over and over in my head when I think of England... Please make it stop Carsley!0 -
"........Carsley's England U21 side in Georgia last summer as they won the trophy for the first time in 39 years, playing a brand of fluid, attacking, high-risk football - while also becoming the first team to record six successive clean sheets in the tournament's history."valleynick66 said:How uninspiring.
