Saw this band advertised on a poster in the Amersham in New Cross in 1996. The name has always stuck with me.Stig said:Ken Dodd's Dad's Dog's Dead1 -

Think the Shits singer was a bloke called Les Miserables, as John Peel used to say, probably an assumed name.JamesSeed said:
Saw them at The Whiskey a Go-Go. Sid and Nancy were there, as well as Jones and Cook who headlined with, I think, some of the Heartbreakers? Johnny Thunders? Tried to Google it, but nothing comes up.Pedro45 said:The Snivelling Shits

Salako, a pop band who were signed to Jeepster along with Belle & Sebastian and Snow Patrol. Their 1999 record Musicality is a standout in what I consider to be one of the worst years for music between 1965 and 2005.

Harmonic Generator, i borrowed a bit of that for my own work.cfgs said:I like a bit of New Zealand, newish, punk, The Datsuns and The D4s etc.
Certainly not new, they emerged around the same time as the Killers, Libertines, Kings of Leon, the Strokes.
I actually forgot about the Datsuns until i saw your post. They broke through with a couple of other bands from that part of the world, Jet and a band i loved at the time called the Vines. Their debut album is great.
