Euros wasn't broadcast in 4k unfortunately.charltonkeston said:
55" 4K minimum. Anything smaller its a waste of technology, get immersed in the picture quality that's available nowadays. I talked my mate into getting an 8K tv, nothing really broadcast in 8K but stunning picture. I've got 55, 60 & 65" 4K tvs and really regret not getting the 75". Watching sport in 4K on a large screen even makes England back passing interesting.shine166 said:0 -
It was on BBC iPlayer . Not all the matches but the important ones certainly were on UHD.Kindoncasella said:

A year or so back I bought a Samsung 55" for my small sitting room. It has the sound tracking and coupled with a Samsung sound bar it is supposed to use the the TVs many speakers to create Dolby Atmos sound field. It was a big disappointment, it sort of works but not really. Big TV and big AV system is the way to go, combine them 2 and put a seafaring film on and you'll be sea sick.shine166 said:

Yep, I appear to be wrong. The old memory ain’t what used to be. Did they put HDR logo next to game on iPlayer, I think that’s where I’m getting confused as there was 2 different streams available.Kindoncasella said:

Omni QLED 50in @ £379 is the one I'd be looking at.shine166 said:
Yeah I've been having a look, but it's kinda a £500 punt with so much choice.cafcpolo said:
Prime day at the moment, the omni qled tvs are decent for that sort of price range.shine166 said:Looking at buying a new TV, ideally no more than £500 as itl probably end up getting broken by flying Hotwheel cars like our current one lol. Just wondering if anyone has picked one up recently and has some suggestions ?
cheers !
43in is a bit cheaper and closer to your size but sacrificing some picture quality due to the way they've set up the panels (led backlight vs full array).

Edit 55inch is £4290 -

Size counts, You dont really get the whole experience with the smaller ones. I would willing pay £40 for a few more inches.R0TW said:Worth the additional £40 for an extra 5"2 -

I had an LG OLED C1 55" up until recently. Only sold it because I was driving across the country and didn't want it to get damaged.Friend Or Defoe said:Is OLED a lot better than QLED?
The problem with OLED is that once you have it, everything else looks terrible. The picture quality, especially in a dark room, is just unreal. They also have very fast refresh rates so bring PS5 games to life too.2 -
Apparently as the room gets a lot of natural light the cheaper QLED is the better option for me! 😃0

I have bought several Sony TV’s over many years and can only say I have never had a dud.
Currently got a 52 inch…..it’s superb. 🙂0 -
I’ve just had an LG OLED C4 installed in the basement. When the screen goes black, you wouldn’t know there was a TV there. The old one would show that’s as a dark grey. Impressive.0

Love my Sony as it’s Android and easy to run IPTV apps.0
