I have to confess, I like this one a lot and even called it a bit on the released players thread. I think he has the physicality and technical ability to be very good in this division. I think Cambridge used him in a certain way but he showed glimpses of being capable of much more than just a lump up front.
Rumored fee was 1m.
This is the first signing where I feel like the player will be a definitive upgrade on what we had last season. Berry and Godden might end up being that as well, but GA feels like a player poised to break out.
Now let's see how it can all go wrong!1 -
think it was 4 pens 7 headers and 2 with his feet in that video
have we got anyone who can cross a ball
what's danny green up to ?2 -

Good interview with a Burton fan here after he joined Ipswich.

He has a bit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic about him, big, strong and the tash4

Hope it's not an omen, but my WhatsApp autocorrects Ahadme to 'shame'18

Welcome Gassan, looking forward to seeing you alongside Godden.
The big question for me is will @golfaddick be happy for once!1 -
Not too sure about this one. Seems a bit of a risk, especially if the deal is to rise £1m. Spent a lot of time injured at ITFC apparently. On another note, I really hope this is our last signing from Ipswich!!! Or, he breaks the curse...5

good signing, not seen much of him but remember him bullying our defence on the day he scored two for Cambridge at The Valley. Welcome Gassan and good luck.0

Welcome to the funny farm Gassan.
Be good, score goals, but most of all be FIT for 46 games!
This has a feeling of a Posh signing. Young, room to grow and develop, then sell-on at £££? In 12-24 months. No way these owners are gonna pass up a good fee, But, it might just bankroll the next phase.
Permission to get a man's tingle?0 -

Plus, he's a striker and strikers command the big fees.0 -
These new signings must be pretty perplexed.
Been sold a dream and when it comes to getting your first press photo in the shirt we dig out some old musty number from 1984!!9 -

AddickNL88 said:Well, in Jones we trust: they have access to a lot more information than we do. Four year contract and reportedly a big transfer fee is a big statement. But stats don't suggest he is the trusted goalscorer we need. 0 assists last season as well. Couldn't really get in the Burton team the season before. Confused by this signing and can't see why such a large fee was needed for him.
Let's hope he does a lot better for us than for his previous clubs.
This lad has been highly rated by many for a while, wherever he has played - and already thought of as a very decent team player, good first touch, good in the air, good mobility and able to hold up the ball, determined and works hard.
At 23 he is rapidly improving and in being given a 4 year contract, Jones believes the player will impact this season and has the potential to play at Championship level - so ready now and one for the future.

Welcome Gas - a very exciting signing. Exactly the sort of striker Nathan Jones adores. And we’ve paid a little bit over the odds to go and get a first choice option for him to work with.0 -

I always see that Cambridge 2-2 match as the beginning of the end for Appleton. Results had dipped a bit after the Reading game, we'd somehow drawn against Carlisle and barely managed to beat Cheltenham 2-1 off two pens. Cambridge at home was another easy match and even though we still didn't play well we were 2-0 up at 87 minutes. Somehow managing to draw 2-2 off two Ahadme goals at that point was an absolute killer and I think that was the start of our complex about always conceding in the last minutes. After that we conceded late in 6 of our next 7 games and things went from Badappleton to Worseappleton. We needed that Cambridge result to start us off to get rid of him though, so what I'm saying is Gassam Ahadme has already done more for Charlton than half the players in the squad and he hasn't even kicked a ball yet. Good lad.19

Unit with presence I'd describe him.
I like the look of him. Will give us the bit off steel up top we've so desperately needed
Knows where the goal is. Scores from set pieces and can take a penalty.
Looking forward to seeing him play but staggered he’s commanded a 500k+ fee.14 -

Welcome Gassan, truly optimistic about this one.
If it doesn't work out, never sign from Ipswich again0 -

We’ve got our own Gassah!0

I think this is us done for strikers right?
Gass, Miles, Chuks as the big man/lone striker depending on the system. Godden/Kanu as 2nd striker or of we go 2 up to. Tyreece can also do that role.4 -
Nice! Like it!
Welcome! A good profile to be the foil and not to shy about sticking it in the net himself.
