Only just seen that Brentford pic. Leaburn SNR I believe works for sky? (Could be wrong) as I’ve seen him by the tunnels prior to kick off on live sky games. So I suspect he might go with his dad to games….

    Not in this case
  • Last October i bumped in to Lee bowyer at Gatwick and had a chat with him, he mentioned that Leaburn wouldn't be at Charlton come next season. At the time seemed sensible but I assume that has changed now due to his injury last season.

And the fact he's not been our manager since 2021 would suggest a pinch of salt was needed.
  • So many rumours I've lost track of the situation. Anyone know the best estimate of when he'll be fit again?

He has been running on grass all summer at St Georges Park from the looks of things so I'd hope before the season starts but that's a totally uneducated guess

My gut reaction is that he will be sold either before the season or Jan window at the latest.

That just what I think, I have no ITK knowledge and nor have I spoken to anyone

His stock / value must have dropped a fair bit due his fitness issues.
  • I can't see him being sold until full fit and performing, if at all.

No chance before the season, as any club would want to see what performance level he gets back to.

If he has a solid first half of the season then yes we'd be at risk of bids in January.

Think there's a large risk we lose him for free now. Can see him signing a pre-contract (sorry everyone!) with a German team in January, he's just the type of player to do well in the Bundesliga

Good post on X this morning. Good to know what he’s been 🆙 to and how he’s been coping, having been out for so long.

  • Will he be fit for the start of the season?

I saw someone say on here recently that he wasn't expected back until October, but i haven't seen that date mentioned anywhere official.

That can't be cheap. It looks like we're really taking the medical side seriously now.

Think he will tear up the league, 15 goals before xmas, sold in New Year to Chelsea px Mason Burstow.

Hopefully another year so he has a minimum of two years left.
A fit Leaburn playing with May would be nice.

Naive I know, but hope how much we have taken care of him during this injury in particular, means he will stay with us longer. Obviously is also dependent on how successful we are on the pitch and if a large bid comes in for him down the road. Fingers crossed we see him in a Charlton shirt in the championship.

“The club have been really helpful,” said the 20-year-old. “They’ve sent me here for the last six weeks, making sure I get the best possible care for my hamstring and getting it back to what it was in terms of strength. This whole thing was set up by them and I’m very grateful, because these are the best facilities possible.”

I have a feeling Miles will be back towards the end of pre season and be gently eased into the first team until Dr.Will is confident he can handle 90. It would be seriously disappointing given all of Miles' links to our great club if he went down the Bosman route, but removing the emotion can't blame a lad for wanting to make as much money as they can in their career. Let's hope we get an outcome that benefits the club (transfer fee received), the player (higher wages than we can offer one day) and the fans (seeing the second generation of a Charlton staple bag the goods).

He looks like he's filled out even more, if we get him fully fit and playing every game him and Kanu could be really good

I think Cawley makes a very good point re replacing Mays goals on his podcast, said Miles could be massive for us this season...

If he can play a full season I think he has the ability to get 25+ in the league alone, I think he will be one of the biggest beneficiaries from Jones management, just imperative we get him on a new deal ASAP so we are not in a tricky situation come January

He's a brilliant all round striker - the strength and physicality to hold up the ball, great finisher, the pace to play wide in a 3 if required, very technical. Once fit i can see him being in high demand!

Honestly if he hits the form he's capable of , he won't be here beyond January. I don't think any PL side would take a gamble on him now purely because of fitness but if he hits 8-12 goals by January we'll probably have one hell of an auction for his signature to handle and that's before any European interest who could unfortunately do a precontract then.

I'd be thinking the likes of Brentford , Southampton maybe not Brighton as they have Evan Ferguson , potentially Villa if they sell Duran.
