The EFL have confirmed that the final round of 2023/24 Sky Bet League One fixtures will kick-off at an earlier time than initially scheduled on Saturday, April 27th.
This means Charlton’s final game of the season - a trip to Adams Park to take on Wycombe Wanderers - will now kick-off at 12.30pm.

Why...don't make any sense at all, and again any travelling fans are put second best in the decision making regarding fixture kick off times...3pm on a Saturday afternoon should be kept for the last day, after all, everyone kick off at the same time on the last day...just stupid...🤷♂️8

Sky aren’t allowed to televise 3PM matches on Saturday. Therefore, has to be moved if they want to show any matches on TV.3

Good news for Chuks, a longer gap between this game and our matches in May. Going to need him when Wickham and LuaLua are gone.13

The last game of the season has not been at 3pm on a Saturday for quite a few years, because two games will be live on Sky TV & cannot be shown at that time because of the 'blackout', also how will the earlier kick off time affect the attending fans?eastterrace6168 said:Why...don't make any sense at all, and again any travelling fans are put second best in the decision making regarding fixture kick off times...3pm on a Saturday afternoon should be kept for the last day, after all, everyone kick off at the same time on the last day...just stupid...🤷♂️2 -
Fans will be affected as they will need to get up earlier to travel, less time socialising with other fans pre-game, and if that way inclined, having a drink or two. I have never been to a 12:30 KO with a decent atmosphere as everyone is still half asleep and not warmed up.clive said:

Travelling to the game as you know can be bad enough for a 3pm, never mind the 12.30 KO, and yes i know about Sky and the money men controlling everything in football nowadays...still a pain in the arse for a lot of fans, who as i said are second choice when these decisions are being dreamt up...🙄clive said:

Don't worry the play off semi finals are all evening kick offs, but then you'll moan about fans gettng home late in the dayeastterrace6168 said:

What do we think impacts an attendance more? Moving it to 12:30 kick off or having it be available on TV?0 -

The kick-off time will have no impact on the attendance, looking at the list posted earlier in this thread, i think we sold-out our away allocation at at all if not most of these matches.Callumcafc said:

This. Everyone knows that this is going to happen to enable TV coverage so I don’t know why they don’t decide which division is going to be early, which division is going to be late ko and which poor sods are going to be punted to Sunday back in August. Would make planning overnight a lot easier too, if neededForeverAddickted said:I'm surprised they dont just do this scheduling at the start of the season...0 -

As mentioned on another thread late 60s we made sure of getting to Blackpool on time by leaving on a couple of coaches from the Valley about 11pm friday night. Was playing football in the Blackpool FC car park around 6/7amElfsborgAddick said:

OK KO at 14.59, or 14.58 etc or even 1700hrs. I don't understand these rules, with VPN's etc many people are watching anyway, so wake up FA (or EFL or whoever) the world has changed.SouthWest_Addicks said:Sky aren’t allowed to televise 3PM matches on Saturday. Is this why our home Saturday matches kick off at 15:03 or 15:04, so that Scotty (or whoever's hosting when he's taking TalkSport's shilling), Brownie or Curbs (holidays notwithstanding) aren't breaking the law re 3pm blackout?KingKinsella said:
