Just noticed his stats since he has returned to League 1 with Wycombe then Cambridge.
Played 17 Scored 3 Sent off 1My mate went to the Lincoln mauling of Cambridge mid week. I asked him how did Taylor play? Terrible he laughed and said the substitute Bonne was even worse.
Dont think you will see either of them in League 1 next season even if Cambridge stay up.5 -
I’ve been assuming Bonne will be playing in a pub league for years now, bloke must have the best agent in English football to keen getting a league club.MintoHumbugs said:Just noticed his stats since he has returned to League 1 with Wycombe then Cambridge.

No great surprise that given your own assessment that Carlisle are of pub league standard 🤣se9addick said:

Bonne was very lucky getting a L1 gig, surprised Harris rated him enough at Gillingham to want to move him up a league.se9addick said:

No surprise he's got 0 in 10 for Cambridge so far.

Based on your post match comment about Carlisle at the weekend! I don't agree that there are league teams and players, who are professionals, who are no better than pub league standard, so we must agree to differ on that.se9addick said:

His spark and desire to play disappeared as soon as he signed his Forest contract, everything he does since then is just to keep him ticking over9 -

I thought LT looked sluggish in the highlights and didn't react to danger for 5th (or was it 6th?)MintoHumbugs said:Just noticed his stats since he has returned to League 1 with Wycombe then Cambridge.

Disagree. Still a threat as this level as shown with a brace at Shrewsbury in February. Usually 14/1 to score 2 in any game, which is good value, in my opinion. As long as the legs hold out i think the hunger will always be there, unless another difficult contract situation comes along of course.0 -
The bloke is an absolute “see you next Tuesday”3
-
3 in 17, if you take away that brace and it’s 1 in 16 . Either way it’s a dreadful return for a striker. That said he will probably end up scoring against Charlton.swords_alive said:Marriott110 said:MintoHumbugs said:Just noticed his stats since he has returned to League 1 with Wycombe then Cambridge.

If you take away the 32 goals Taylor scored for Charlton he scored 0 in 63 for us.10 -
Well if we're going that way, we can put the goals he scored back into the mix, but take away the games he played, he scored 32 without ever playing for us. No wonder people were gutted when he left.8

It’s not just about the goals he scores, Taylor may have been hugely uplifting in the changing room and has loads of assist with his overall play.
that explains why they are flying up the table
oh, erm, my mistake

Unbelievably if you take away the 195 goals that he’s actually scored in his career then he hasn’t scored a single goal in 552 appearances. Absolutely shocking for a so called “striker”!Covered End said:

I think he's one of those characters, and possibly similar to Bonne, when things are going there way they are great to have in the team and changing room. When things are not going their way, they are a disruptive influence and not good for the team at all.Swisdom said:It’s not just about the goals he scores, Taylor may have been hugely uplifting in the changing room and has loads of assist with his overall play.

This, it wouldn’t surprise me if both Taylor and Bonne had one eye on scoring against, lairy celebrations etc and trying to relegate us at there place, As it is, the roles could be reversed now and wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor got himself out the game now just to avoid all the inevitable flak he’ll get.stoneroses19 said:

Taylor seems to be the sort of player who loves to rile up both the opposition and its fan base and then feed off it to up his performance.
Not sure if he still has that fire in his belly after his stint at Forest picking up the cheddar - but wonder if our crowd can keep quiet - as sure that will probably annoy him the most.10 -
The number of former Charlton players in their team, when the away fans start chanting "Charlton reject", we'll have to be more specific...5

Only a month until this game now, surely the tickets will be available soon ?1

I think Cambridge usually start with Taylor with Bonne on the bench. I would hate it if either of those 2 scored. Both would easily make my first 11 most disliked ex Charlton players.I can see Taylor possibly going back to AFC Wimbledon next season ? ( If they don’t get promoted ). Bonne might be lucky and play in league 2 but wouldn’t be surprised to see him in Non League ( his luck getting league clubs has to run out some time ).0
