I had been wondering about Kompany, but that's come completely out of the blue, when compared to the rumours about Hodgson.ForeverAddickted said:Burnley have sacked Kompany - Seems a bit pointless at this stage of the season... Seems they've let the whole lot go, with Bellamy / Jackson and the Goalkeeper / Set Piece Coaches also sacked.
He's shown that he can create a brilliant attacking team when he has good players (in comparison to the opposition) but has been found wanting when up against better teams.
As they are certain to go down now, Kompany would have been excellent next season in the Championship, it's in the Premier League where they needed someone more pragmatic.0 -

That's a bit of a surprise. He managed them for 13 years between 1999 & 2012, came back two years later (during which time Accrington had three Managers) and managed them for another 10 years.
