Terribly sad.
Great character played in a very unselfish manner in the Office.
The kind of iconic character you get in comedy like Robyn in The Thick of It or the Major in Fawlty Towers.

The scene when he has his annual appraisal is comedy gold - genius4 -
I saw him at Kings Cross station about four years ago getting off a train and he could barely walk because of his size. It was painful to see.

Used to spot him in Woolwich Wetherspoons quite often, so assume he lived locally.

Just heard this. So sad and no age to go. Seemed like such a nice guy and some of his scenes were what made the Office great. R.I.P big man.
