I called a Pearson appointment, if this comes off I'd like to say I'm not ITK, but would like a promote5

The timing of his appointment I feel was telling. Appleton probably sees himself as a dead man walking.

Pearson's other assistant at Bristol City was former Wimbledon, Middlesbrough and Blackpool striker Jason Euell6

I am on the fence over Appleton.
I keep looking back over the last 17 years and asking myself where has sacking 18 managers/ first team coaches has got us. None of the above proved successful or one of them would have got more than 2 seasons.
So want do we need in a manager to be able to succeed at Charlton.2 -

Having said that this is a problem throughout football, not just us.0 -
Appleton needs to go! Not sure about Fleming though. Too much of a risk. Can we afford that risk?2

Pearson wouldnt fit the set of players we have for 3-5-2/5-3-2 - his style is suited to 4-2-3-1 which means RW for Alfie May and no CBT on the left.... If MA goes I can see us going for Paul Heckingbottom his 3-5-2 at Sheff Utd worked in the Champioship.0

Chris Powell also has been assistant to Pearson0

Brayne first team coach & set pieces.
Luke Sanders - head of sports science
Elliot Plant - first team coach strength & conditioning9 -
I like Fleming so happy with that3

I really like Curtis Fleming
I think he's a very good coach9 -
Bit of artistic license from Scott there. "First time we have had a set piece coach". Its the first time we've had a coach with that in his title sure but we've pretty much always had one of the first team coaches responsible for set pieces. When Bow was in charge it was Jacko.
It's not like we have a dedicated full time set piece coach. He is still first team coach as well so it's not like the responsibilities have changed. Just the title.3 -

I like Fleming- his affable demeanour was a blessed relief after Appleton in his brief spell as caretaker manager . He must be good too - Jones wouldn’t have kept him for the sake of it .4
