    Bellingham scored both goals for Real Madrid in the 2-1 win against Barcelona in El Clasico today, and got a last minute winner. He's already got legend status here.

    Girona top a third of the way through the season. It won't last of course but it's great to see, especially such a different team up there from the usual challengers Sevilla, Betis, Villareal etc.

    Can Girona do a Leicester?

    16 games in and they're now 2 points clear of Real Madrid and 7 clear of Barca and Atletico after a brilliant 4-2 win at Barcelona last night.

    This is really something for them to have done so well.Hope  they keep it up and give hope to all the smaller clubs that just make up the numbers,just like Leicester did a few years back

    They're punching above their weight that's for sure, but yeah let's not gloss over who's paying the bills

    Went to Atletico Madrid v Almeria yesterday. The stadium is superb and atmosphere brilliant but not quite as intense as the old Vicente Calderon. Not a bad view for the cheapest tickets (€30)!

    I think you need to check how much they spent in the summer. Around €20m.

    They also lost Romeu to Barcelona in the summer and their top scorer went to Lazio.

    Their salary limit this season is set at €52m. Madrid’s in comparison is €727m. It's a long way off from being as simple as they're only top because of City Football group's money.

    Bit annoying that Madrid-Girona and Leverkusen-Bayern both kick off at the same time tonight. Will have to  watch one on the tv and one on the laptop.
