San Marino have scored in three games on the trot.

Although they've lost all three - That's actually a new record for them. Previously they've only managed to score in back to back games at best, the last time that happened was in 2005

Overnight Brazil lost a home World Cup qualifier for the first time ever. 

Ending an unbeaten run that lasted 64 games.

Justin Kluivert yesterday became only the third player in history to score in Europe's top 5 leagues.

The other two are ex-Romania striker Florin Raducioiu and current Montenegro captain Stevan Jovetic.

Kluivert has actually now scored in the top 6 leagues as he also scored in the Dutch league for Ajax. And he's only 24.

Kieran McKenna is two weeks short of being Manager of Ipswich for two years. In that time, Ipswich have never lost a League game when playing between Monday and Friday. Their record in that time is

Coincidentally, we have played exactly the same number of League games as Ipswich from Monday to Friday during that period but with not quite the same results:

I reckon we inflicted their last midweek loss then. Jackson oversaw a fairly routine 2 0 Tuesday night victory if my memory is correct. 

That is indeed correct. Paul Cook was sacked on the 6th December and John McGreal was in temporary charge for our game, their draw against Wigan and defeat in the Cup to Barrow before McKenna took over on the 16th December.

Make that 19 PL games on the trot when Brighton have both scored and conceded. They are a licence to print money in the "both teams to score" market at the moment and have been for quite some time.

The Law Of Sod, however, says that the minute you lump on Saturday against Burnley, a team that has failed to score on seven occasions this season, might be the one to stop that run. 

Well that run continues - 20 on the trot where both sides have scored. Next match is away to Arsenal which was the scene of the last time this didn't happen. Brighton have also been on an a run of 32 games where they have scored at least one goal - the last occasion that they failed to do so was at home to Fulham on the 18th February when they lost 1-0.  

It's no surprise whatsoever that Harry Kane, with 18 goals, is top scorer in the Bundesliga. He has found the net, on average, every 63 minutes or at a rate of 1.42 goals per match. However, he isn't the best in the Bundesliga for those latter two stats -  Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart has scored 16 goals at an average per goal of 49 minutes or 1.83 goals per match.

How boring going along every week and being practically assured of a win. Much more fun to have the high jeopardy levels of Charlton. That's what I tell myself anyway.

They've dropped off a bit this season (2 defeats in 17) but quite incredibly in the previous 3 seasons they went unbeaten twice and in the other they lost only once.

They got a total of 305 points in 3 seasons!
