He is still head of coaching at Spurs academy. I assumed (rightly or wrongly) that the FA scheme to ensure BAME representation within the England coaching setup was aimed at British BAME coaches, so slightly surprised JFC is replacing him as there must be other potential British candidates. Powell comforting Saka after the Euro Final is one of the long lasting images I will keep of that tournament.8

Powell was on the EECP scheme in the England setup. His time has come to an end, that’s all. I didn’t realise Jamal Campbell-Ryce is also an England coach, but at U17 level I believe.1
