    I swear I never saw a RM in Eltham, but I never lived there after I finished Uni, so I was only a …er..sporadic visitor. I stand corrected.

    Not sure of date as just googled "21 Routemaster Eltham" and it came up on a flickr page. Can't find it now...

    The Allegro was launched in 1973 and I'm pretty certain my first McDonalds visit was late 70's so that probably gives the picture a c. 6 year window between 73 and 79.  

    Here's another coming down Eltham Hill towards the Yorkshire Grey, looks early 80's.

  • Used to travel from Charlton(top of Victoria way) to Croydon Art college in 1971, seemed like a long journey so used to take  book  along (often George Orwell) I am sure in those days you could smoke upstairs, something that I stopped 20 years ago.
