He has a great surname for a commentator to shout when/if he scores.

The next Joe Gomez, or the next Oguchi Onyewu4

We could be the best U23 team in League One34
-
Fotmob says he's 183cm and tranfermarkt says 182cm so not exactly big for a CB and he's hardly ever played. Seems a strange one. Hope he's decent0

If anything doesnt it look good seeing a signing from Udinese on the Main Page, it could be Clementina the Tea Lady from Barcelona for all I care

🎵Ouuur new player, Is Abankwah, is Abankwah🎵12

Yessss buzzing what a signing, very realistically gonna have multiple games this season where all our CBs are aged 21 or younger, which I am sure will pay off.....12

Gets my full support, hope for the best but wish we had signed someone experienced blah blah blah...........1

Welcome and the best of luck lad!
Am I the only one doing a involuntary "Countdown" on his surname?2 -
Yet another youngster with hardly any game time. Certainly none in England.
He might be the next Joe Gomez but at least he was brought up through our ranks and knew the rough & tumble of EFL football.
Hopefully he'll be a good acquisition but not sure if he's what you need when struggling at the bottom of League 1.0 -

He looks to have good pedigree. You don’t get thrown into a starting XI against Juventus at the back end of last season for no reason.6

Never heard of him I'd say anyone who says they have is probably lying.

Such a weird signing. Hope it works out

Another international player, so very unlikely we'll be playing in future international breaks0

So in his last Serie A game he had Chiesa of Juve running towards him.
Dont have a clue what he is like, but if he had positive feedback from their manager after than match, I would hope he can cope with Fleetwood.5 -

Udinese is one of the best clubs in the world at spotting and developing young talent, and they have been for many years. Obviously not every signing works out, but I respect their scouting and development far more than I do, say, Huddersfield's or Cardiff's.
"He hasn't played in League One" who gives a fuck? He's played in Serie A. Surely that's a better indicator of talent. And he is Irish, so it's not like he'll have to learn the language.
For those wondering why he's gone to League One, I suspect it's to prepare him for a move to Watford next year.
It's nice to see us broadening our horizons because we have been incredibly insular for many years.
It may take some time, but I think this could end up being a really good signing. And if not, he's a fifth or sixth choice CB on loan. Low risk, high reward.
