I vaguely recall when we sold Shelvey to Liverpool that an he needed to be on the pitch for 60 mins+ in a match for it to count as an “appearance”. Sometimes as supporters we are blinded by the reality of life and some of the paths these players have travelled. Life hasn’t been as comfortable for this lad as some of us that sit behind a keyboard and moan about grabbing the ritches waved at them. us sitting here do it from a passion because ultimately we wish our club to be successful and they could aid us. Really heartwarming story. His Aunt and Uncle are remarkable people for taking him in. I am proud that we helped him in his career.
