This is where we have been going wrong, no need for drawn out negotiations, highest bid gets us!
"Tranmere Rovers owner Peter Johnson said he was "appalled" to discover the club listed for sale on the online auction site eBay.
The listing, now removed, purported to be from Dornoch Capital, the US firm tasked with finding a buyer for the club, and had a starting bid of $10m.
"We were appalled," Johnson told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"It's totally inappropriate. We immediately e-mailed them and said 'take it off right away'."
Johnson added: "You can imagine how shocked we were to wake up this morning to find out we were on eBay." Lol

Hey thats publicity, should get broad coverage, notifying possible buyers of availability and lowest possible price.
Serves a purpose, really should have consulted the club on it first though!0 -
Publicity as Thommo says... what's the eBay listing fee now, 10p... and they'll be all over the various newspapers, websites etc0

Was on Radio 4 tonight
Appears they did hire the firm who placed the ad to sell the club but hadn't expected them to take this route.
Still, in publicity terms it has worked.0
