We've gone from signing Matt Smith's most windows, to an Ipswich player

Fraser | Penney | Camara, in the last four Transfer Windows now

Really pleased with this. A player that stood out for me when we played Plymouth and what we have been missing for a long time.

Good signing if he can rediscover his 2020-2022 form.

Good signing that, gotta be encouraged with the signings so far that we’ll be in that top 6 come the end of the season…. So long as we keep up that calibre of signing and don’t leave ourselves short again.
    This is vital.

    This is key!

Welcome Panutche. Hopefully you can shine.

Bit of Background on his Pre-Season...

Ipswich have played four Friendlies so far

Camara played 45mins against Felixstowe on 1st July scoring in the process - Hasn't been involved for them since, so wonder if thats partly because of loan interest from us and others.

Good signing if he’s fit and gets back to his best.

Camara and May in particular feel a clear step up compared to the level of player we were signing a year ago.

Just hope we build a full squad in this way rather than leave youngsters to cover regardless of whether they’re ready or good enough.

Never heard of him until he was mentioned on the rumours thread, opposition players rarely stand out for me as our own players never seem to but pleasing to see so many of our fans are happy with this so i'll go along with the majority and view this is a good positive signing.
  • The Camara news is taking time for me to process. Oh well, I'm sure I'll snappy snap out of it soon.

And a recent Ipswich player in Bonne.

key thing with the window so far is that we are signing players who will be in out starting XI...not just squad fillers to boost numbers

very good player, I remember wanting to sign him before he left Plymouth
  • Remember him being a very good player against us. Like the balance of Dobson, Fraser & Camara. Another piece in the puzzle to get us back in the promotion hunt.

Good Luck and welcome to Charlton.

Never heard of him but unlike many on here I'm not a football scout. Hope he does well and pleased with the positive reaction from our legions of scouts we have on Charlton life. They nearly outnumber the amount of investors we have.

But will he go straight out on the pitch tonight against the Gills? 🤔🥸

    Which shirt number please
I reckon 28 (the number he’s worn at Crawley, Plymouth and Ipswich) is likely but nothing official yet.

In my opinion about 5 players have really stood out against us since we've been in league one. We now have 2 of them in Fraser and Camara. I don't know anything really about Jones or Isted but I am really excited by May and Camara.

I just really hope the club see them as only part of the jigsaw as we still need at least 2 more (LWB and ST) before the start of the season and then about 4 more by the end of the window. (LWB again, RWB, CM and another ST)

Over the moon with the signing. Camara is a player I’ve long admired and is the type we have been missing for quite a while.

So far so good. Hopefully the rest of the window is as strong, if not stronger.

Edun, Sessegnon and Dack now please. Last player request could be a touch too far, but why not go all for it?

Camara, welcome. Excited for the season to begin and we are only going to be stronger by that point too.

That's the point for me, our business at this stage last summer was decent(ish) on paper (Egbo, Wollacott, O'Connell, McGrandles, Payne (a year today), Sessegnon on loan.

But then we only signed JRS from there when we were still crying out for more options in a few positions.

We need to kick on from here, we still need 4 or 5 more quality signings.
