Had never heard of him before yesterday. Hopefully an upgrade on Innis and not another Lavelle.

better than Innis hopefully1

Starting to look like we will be getting a back 5 next season. Can’t see Ness, Lloyd or Hector agreeing to being back-up players.1

I remember him being on the fringes at Liverpool some years back, made a few appearances in pre-season games etc and looked OK if not top level. Went off the rails a bit I believe but got himself back together. Optimistic that this may well prove a decent signing.1

Lovely stuff. Does this mean 3-5-2 though? Do hope not. Unless we have the bombest wing-back signings ever incoming (apologies to CBT and Campbell)1

Pleased with this. We now have four decent centre backs. If we are playing three at the back then maybe we could try to get a left footed defender who could also double at left back as well.

After being told how good Lavelle and O'Connell (ok he was fine but not at lcb), we remain sceptical, but it seems our scouts are doing some good work.
Which 4 end of season awards would he have won? I didn't realise there were so many intra-club awards in L1!0 -
Highly rated coming through the Liverpool youth acadamy, their U21 skipper but like most, never going to establish himself in their Prem squad at the time he was sold to Luton aged 22.
Been around the lower divisions but plenty of Captain experience, so assume he's been regarded as a leader on the pitch.
Player of the Year at Cambridge last year, described as an authoritative figure and decent footballing CB and would imagine he's maturing well.4 -
Seems a decent signing. Michael Morrison / Matt Taylor vibes.8

Was Phil Chapple the last defender we signed from Cambridge?5

I saw the news & thought we had re-signed Lloyd Sam.
Never heard of the geezer before yesterday but 5000 Cambridge fans cant be wrong.
All we need now are players up the otherend to put the ball in the onion bag because so far we've signed a GK & 3 defenders.
welcome to the madhouse Lloyd.1 -
Injured at Welling tomorrow out for the season;(5

new one on me (REALLY hard to keep up nowadays lol) .. he's been around the lower leagues most of his career after a good grounding at Liverpool .. we need players well versed in what is needed for League One .. he's tall, the right king of age and hopefully will join a defence of .. Egbo, Hector, Jones and Thomas .. welcome Lloyd ,, could be a very good, shrewd piece of scouting by the recruitment staff0

Got to be happy with this signing our defense needs a leader
Welcome to the Valley Lloyd1 -
Journeyman in his late 20s - ideal signing.0

The CB's and GK slots are sorted for pre season so can start that famous "gelling",
Know chuff all about him, didn't know he existed until yesterday but that don't mean much. The twittersphere is saying he's decent but yeah...not going to pretend "he's gonna be something" "we're building something special here" and all that nonsense as apparently we pulled off the leagues best transfer work last summer and..well...
Good start to the window. Keep it going and let's get it right this time.2 -
