OMG! MILLWALL MIGHT GET PROMOTED - but not in 2023 :)

Millwall may well end up playing in the Premier League after years of careful ownership by Berylson but they'll never have something like Addicks To Victory to cherish.26

One of the best run clubs around so no surprise to see them doing well, fair play to them
Still think they might just miss out but once you get in the playoffs it’s a lottery and 6th has just as good a chance as third
Surprised they are still getting such shite crowds though, barely any more for Burnley than we had v Fleetwood and well known for not travelling in numbers unless it’s in London or a big tear up
Probably the only thing we do have over them at the moment 😂0 -
Millwall in the playoffs for a spot in the EPL?
What could possibly go wrong 🤔
I might have to come out of retirement 😜1 -

I prefer to think of Millwall in the 1995-96 season. Top of the second tier in December - then McCarthy quit to manage Ireland and the Spanners went into freefall. Won only four more games that season, and were relegated on goal difference...7

Proper owner. Don't need to say any more apart from good luck to them.1

what is unbelievable is that two millwall fans I know still want rowett out1 -
What I have learnt from this thread
1) excellent manager, stayed/staying a while
(interesting to know if their recruitment strategy operates , also Academy set up)
2) good owner -seems to have funded a lot over the years
3) ground owned by the council? is that right? so not a target for property developers

The "wish them well" and "some of my mates are millwall fans and are decent" comments.
fuck that.
I have mates and family who support them (all tossers when it comes to 'wall') and I'm also envious by the way they are run compared to our shit show but no way would I wish their scummy club any bit of success.

I play golf with Gary Rowett's Dad. Gary loved his time at Charlton and when he came down to see the training ground before signing, whilst Curbs was out of his office getting Gary and his Dad a cup of tea another manager called him on his phone and told him not to sign for Charlton and to name his price.
Gary decided he liked what Curbs had to tell him about the club to sign with us.

If you know your history,it will tell you once in a life time.Millwall have had that moment and no way is top flight football returning to that club in the near future.0

Get a grip ffs, why are some Charlton fans so obsessed with Millwall?
Shit ground, no fans, no decent silverware, they are an irrelevant small club.
For a team that doesn't care that no one likes them, they don't half bang on about it.
As for Miiiiiiiiiiiiii, it's as pathetic as West Hams bubble machine.3 -
That club does well solely to bring additional heavy rain clouds into my life. An unnecessary bastard kick to the head when you’re already on the floor.
We are governed by the devil I tell thee. 100%
Jealous as f**k at how they are run
Our only saving grace is not playing them this season as they would destroy our weak powderpuff drip of a squad8 -

Can you imagine the battles their fans would have against West Ham and Newcastle etc, the club would be paying out FA fines every week.0

Tbf you can't do that kinda of shite without knowing you will be done.
Some channel 4 report the other day was saying football violence was on the rise. Of course this is done by looking at arrests for football wrongdoings. We were one of the top just for people being done for coke the other year.
It will never be like it was and though there's some good stories from it thank fuck it's not. Plus apart from CCTV everyone is willing to film everything on their phones. (Worldstar as Americans would say) Anyone who doesn't understand that probably deserve to be arrested.
The only thing I have never liked is people being banned for life from all football grounds for one misdemeanor.
Anyway sorry for taking the thread away from the new members of the Premier league.2 -

Plus Millwall have history with the likes of Leeds West Ham Chelsea & most of the clubs in that league all would turn outFor their visit the Den would get very lively as well0 -
Good luck to them. Great club with a fantastic history and well behaved, knowledgeable and welcoming fans. Superb state of the art stadium to boot.
If Carlsberg made football clubs ...10 -
