2022-23 CL Prediction League Week 28 Fixtures/Cup Replays/Last 16 Cup Draws

I suppose it says it all really, as the best Prediction of the Week went to the only person who could foresee Charlton stumbling against Fleetwood Town - and by the correct scoreline. It was @Billyboy who got this unrewarded accolade, while four competitors scored a highly impressive 7 points. One of the high scorers was Premier League leader @GoOnYouHaddocks, who really seems to mean business since the New Year, scoring 24 points in the last four weeks. The other high flyers were @Paddy Powell, @Low_Ears and @alan dugdale. Six others scored 6 points, and even Follower Fred scored 5 points. In the Cup replays, needless to say, @GoOnYouHaddocks ran riot away to @Jonniesta with a 7-1 win. In the Johnstones Paint replays, @cafc375 was on the end of a 7-0 drubbing away to League 2's @Low_Ear, while. high-flying @Charlton_Stu had to sweat it out with a win on penalties against National League @Dansk_Red. In the Cup draws, @BR7_addick's visit to @covered_end_junior is bound to have the TV cameras present, while @Big_Bob from League 2 has the chance to grab next week's headlines with an away tie with our mighty Premier League leader.

    I’d call it a crisis - letting in seven when you’re one of the elite. Questions need to be asked or is the Prediction Cup being targeted by ruthless match-fixers. I really don’t have time for a messy court case even though I am sure @AFKABartram will find my legal costs.

    I'm glad they've paid out but it's really not over 'til this fat boy starts to sing. In any case, my players won't allow me to publicly admit that the dream treble of Prediction League & Cup and the Beat The Bookie League is out of our reach. Let the mind games begin and see how just much bottle the likes of GoOnYouHaddocks, theeenorth and all those left in the Cup have!

    Congratulations to @Billyboy for knocking me out of the cup and his 1-2  insight for the CAFC v Fleetwood score. I followed the herd and my 2-1 favoured Charlton.
    I'm blaming too much Holden positivity for clouding my judgement!
