Hilarious thread. Fanatics v 'Addo'
https://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=285210"Millwall away to Middlesbrough yesterday. Didn’t know if it was at a train station or on a train. Looks like it was on a train so that would have to be some pretty good undercover work from that lot"Genuinely don't believe any other fan base would come out with that bar them. Christ!
think you'd rather admit to dressing up in your wife's knickers than dress up as one of those creepy freaks.0 -
Well, the simple answer to this conundrum is don't call them a South London club, they're a North Surrey club. Croydon wasn't even part of Greater London till 1965.Addickted said:
Palace don't really believe they are South London which is why they try too hard to say they are (like that cringey 5 boroughs thing).6 -
They have a London postcode.
But are delusional.
True London only really goes as far as zone 3.

Which was met with derision by people in Lewisham and Southwark. I can only presume I didn't see the derision from the people of Lambeth and Bromley.1

Lambeth and Southwark are long narrow boroughs with the Southern tips having a smaller population. North to middle of these boroughs, there are minimal / negligible Palace presence- If they are around they keep calm & quiet - & definitely don't come out with any of that ridiculously cringey South London is ours guff. The idea that Crystal Palace has any presence in Brixton or anything but the southern tip of Southwark or Lambeth would be treated with bemusement / derision if anyone actually thought about it.
Crystal Palace can only claim to have any reach at all to South of South circular. Even in places likes Streatham, there may be Palace fans but there are many more Chelsea, Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal supporters. There are quite a few Charlton and some Millwall supporters in these areas too. Palace can claim Croydon but Croydon is a god awful place and they are welcome to it.8 -

Can we not simply settle this by reminding ourselves that Selhurst Park is situated somewhere between the back end of beyond and the middle of nowhere?1

Selhurst Park (toilet) - back end of beyond and the middle of Surrey2 -
Of fans who actually go, it’ll be a mix of Chelsea and Millwall. But mostly Chelsea yesCroydon said:

They had the names of the 5 London boroughs that border Crystal Palace incorporated in their shirt design a couple of years ago. And it's true - there are 5 London boroughs that border Crystal Palace.Friend Or Defoe said:

What is also true is that Crystal Palace haven't played in Crystal Palace since 1915. To give that some context, Arsenal left Woolwich in 1913.5 -
Ye gods they are an embarrassment.2

Never have a group of people had so little self awareness as the Palace "Ultras".4

I'd take a guess that the last time Cantona was at shithouse park, most of them weren't even born and have only seen him in beer commercials7

The gift that keeps on giving6

Tbf Man Utd have done a great job over the years preventing the nigels and millwall from winning the FA cup. Nigels in 1990 and 2016 and the spanners in 2004.13

Deserves another kung-fu kick that.
The irony of some of the spotty vigins that would have been singing about Cantona's ugly (actress and model) wife and kids etc....1 -

Such a hurtful song that must have taken ages to write.

A fart in a lift creates an atmosphere - you stripey c*nt.3 -
Those faux ultra mooks are to English football fandom what Sandgaard's Addicks to victory is to rock music.
Fucking drips.2 -
Besides the megaphone the song is pathetic.4

And the crowd went wild ….4

Was expecting the video to be some cringey megaphone ultra stuff, but to sing a cub scout camp fire song about Cantona in 2023. I'm loss for words!2
