These must date back to when there was different pricing around the terracing which wasn’t the case by the late 1960s. Maybe 50s? Amazing some of the things the club retained then left behind.
In 2012 I rescued bespoke printed (annual company) accounts going back many decades from a confidential waste bag. Left them in my office at The Valley so no idea if they were subsequently thrown out.
What a waste. A proper fan would have stood at the back of the covered end and launched those tickets onto the pitch along with the toilet rolls and rollls of bus tickets paper
Did the Port Vale supporter say how and why their visit to the Valley came about ?

"Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. OK, so as a teenager in the late 80s (I think maybe 1987ish) I was down in the Charlton area with my Dad to see the Thames Barrier. We then drove up the road to take a look at the derelict Valley. We parked by a tower block and I saw a gap in a fence, so we decided to climb in. We literally walked all around the ground, not a soul around, and it was just a wreck. In one of the stands I pushed open a half-closed broken door and on the floor were the reels of old tickets. So I just casually picked them up, along with an old Penny next to them - I will send this in, too. I am currently moving home and found the lot in a bag in my loft. I will post the tickets and Penny to yourselves, probably next weekend. For your info I am a Port Vale fan/watched Chelsea when living in London fan. Good luck to fellow Valiants.
PS: I send the tickets gratis, on condition they are never sold, by sale, gift or auction etc. I want them to be solely for the enjoyment of viewing by Charlton/football supporters at your Museum."
