I think it was the Accrington game. I can't see what the point would be of taking the block off and nobody knowing about it to be honest!KBslittlesis said:

Depends, was it on the weekend or midweek? Here’s what the OS says.MuttleyCAFC said:Thinking about it, my son was able to watch a game when in Northern Ireland without a VPN. I thought that was strange at the time. Is that normal?

That doesn’t make much sense to me 🤔🤷♀️0 -
Some people have principles that override monetary issues. Might have just had enough. He has many contacts in the game so probably wouldn't be out of work for long.KBslittlesis said:And why would Gallen walk when he’s getting a good wage?

Anyone who believes this needs to get a grip... he has some of the most expensive lawyers in the city working for him, there is not a chance he is thinking about breaking licensing laws, the efl have much deeper pockets than he does and will sue the fuck out of himScoham said:There may be truth in this, I’ve been watching the last few games without a VPN.

I loved volunteering at the Valley although my first three visits cost me a total of £390 in out of pocket expenses.
My final two visits I had £80 expenses reimbursed per visit. When I discovered how staff were being treated I walked away, you couldn’t pay me enough money to work there again.I don’t have a mortgage etc and I fully understand the staff that remain there, but I would hazard a guess 80% are looking elsewhere.7 -

Even if Martin Sandgaard is his replacement?Gribbo said:1 -
I get Jokat but Gallen has been here longer through arguably more of a circus & just cracked on. He’s getting a good wage. Unless TS decides he’s not worth the money & gets rid I just can’t see him walking personally.Fanny Fanackapan said:

When the EFL call Charlton Towers tomorrow...
"So is there any truth in the rumour you're making available all games on Charlton TV!!!"
"Oh no!"

I doubt there are many involved in football that principles override money these days.

The Gallen stuff and the marketing thing I’ve heard. There is anecdotal evidence of the latter. I won’t give a view on the work permit as it must be defamatory to accuse someone of breaking the law and I don’t know it’s true she is. I am confident she is working - there are multiple witnesses - and that she needs a work permit to do so even unpaid. I would think the lawyer who is a director would be in a difficult position if Raelynn was found to be working in a senior role illegally.
Edit: She wouldn’t of course need a work permit if she is qualified by citizenship but AFAIK she is a US national.19 -
Apologies if I've missed it, but who's Tom Knight? I don't use twitter. Is he/she a Club employee using an anonymous ID to protect him/herself?0

I'm opted out of marketing emails (demanded to be taken off in the Duchatelet days and I was), and haven't had anything so far.0

I'm no fan of what seems to be going on Rick but if she isnt being paid then surely she isnt deemed as working ?Airman Brown said:The Gallen stuff and the marketing thing I’ve heard. I have been one of the biggest defenders of TS but with the carry ons lately such as Olly, dubious cost saving measures, failure to finish what was imo a decent window with the final bit of recruitment to seal a chance of promotion by not wanting to spend has swayed me into the far from convinced brigade0 -
Unless the EFL trump the ICO it is unlikely to be a £5m fine for breaching marketing email opt outs. 4% of a company's annual revenue is the max fine that can be levied and usually only in the most serious of cases.
That would put our turnover at £125m per year.
EDIT actually it can be up to £17.5m also it appears but standard is 2% or £8.7m.

Without a work permit you cannot volunteer for a private company, only for a charity. It’s a criminal offence.AndyG said:

Easier to stick to the facts and the reports from multiple sources.
I'm not going to take any whatsapp messaging shared as anything more than hearsay. These things spin out of control and end up making everyone look stupid if not true.10 -
The lawyer concerned has a nice fresh practicing certificate (but everyone likes to keep those going just in case). However he is no longer working as a solicitor. He is an investment manager for Atai Life Sciences - whoever they are. He has been there for a year. (And only stayed at Freshfields for a little longer than that.) So I don't suppose he really cares one way or another.Airman Brown said:The Gallen stuff and the marketing thing I’ve heard. There is anecdotal evidence of the latter. So what have you heard about gallen rick ???0

That he’s looking around. Wouldn’t have put it out there on its own as it’s just gossip, but it came from elsewhere.FAVADDICK said:So what have you heard about gallen rick ???15 -

I am undecided about Gallen and how good he is but when his only real successful (in monetary terms) acquisition /trading is Macaulay Bonne after, what, 4-5 years at the club I doubt he will have a huge list of employers prepared to pay him well.
On the other hand, him leaving would leave TS and MS in charge of recruitment and you can forget anything happening in January.0 -
Not sure if it's a sign of incompetence or something more worrying but the video for the Gillingham game was "free" for the first 25 minutes, or so, is someone that doesn't know what they are doing in charge so the blocked countries element just isn't working?
Anyway I'll just wait for the usual suspect to turn up and tell us how Gallen is just deadwood holding Martin’s vision back and that its refreshing how Thomas is standing up to the EFL.0
