So pleased Ralfie Hand at last could play 73 minutes against Wolves and score a goal from midfield. Since joing from Kenetic academy, the Dartford lad has had a tough time with different injuries but hopefully at 17 he can kick on and step up to the level required.
  • Won 3-1 at Peterborough Utd on Saturday.
  • Won 7-1 against QPR, this morning.

    Swansea (5), QPR (7), Peterborough (3), Wolves (3), SheffUtd (3).

    5 wins with 21 goals.
    1 defeat v Burnley.

Amazing start for the U18's.  Seems like another talented bunch.

    Casey 7 goals.
    Enslin 4 goals
    Rylah 4 goals
    Hand 2 goals
    Huke 2 goals
Bower, Yamoah, Myers all on one.

Is Casey going to be another +40goal scorer like Kanu..?

With a silly buggers game on Tuesday I wouldn't be surprised to see some of these young lads turn out for the U21's against QPR at Dartford on Monday.

According to the fixture list on our & QPR's websites the game is now at 'The Valley'.

Half time: Charlton 5-0 Liverpool. Hand scored the 5th.

I've no idea about the strength of the team that Liverpool have sent down (need to see a team sheet), but you can only play/beat what's in front of you.

5 - 0 is a great scoreline regardless of who you are playing but against a cat 1 academy side...

  • Only thing I dont like about results like this, is the fact its potential free scouting for the big club.
  • Wow. What a score line.  Go on lads.

Of course. I've just seen a team sheet on twitter and there are only 2 or 3 omissions from their normal league team. This is a proper stuffing of a cat 1 team.

Clubs will be aware of our most promising players regardless of any games against them.

(Very) Late update that may have been posted elsewhere.

The U17s played their first U17 Premier League Cup group game on 13/9. They won 3-1 at Brighton.

Their remaining group games are against Southampton and Crystal Palace, who drew 2-2 in the other game.
  • Just watched 20 minutes of Forest v West Ham U21 & U19 (I think). Playing on adjacent pitches @ St George’s. Nothing to write home about. Very dull, both sides.

@Athletico Charlton The 3rd goal in the game vs. Wolves that was originally listed as a Ryan Huke goal, was eventually credited to Patrick Casey.

Casey has 9 goals, Huke has 2.
