no probs - as long as he and garner and me are aligned, we'll be ok - you'll thank me one dayCharltonKerry said:
Probably explains why so many fans thinks he a twat then.DOUCHER said:
Agreed - he only cuts and pastes what I say on here anyway so as long as he’s doing that I’m fine with itCafcSCP said:
I have very little faith in our owner at the moment, but for now he is delivering on the style of play he said he wanted.DOUCHER said:Oh and a few tactical words from TS
in came Garner and he’s put together a team so far that is delivering that.If we get the two over the line today, then let him do his little chat. It is irritating but if it’s happening on the pitch I’ll stomach his chit chat.
Sorry but that was just to much of an open goal to miss 😀😀😀😀0 -
Me neither tbhScoham said:
Can’t see it being him, 8 goals in L2 last season doesn’t seem like the type of player we’d bring in to seriously challenge Stockley.BR7_addick said:
Don’t mean to kick start the bickering in here (who am I kidding I love it) but he fits the model and his goal scoring record for a kid isn’t too shabby.BR7_addick said:
Directly below this tweet was another from Cawley regarding Isaac Olaofe of Millwall, saying he’s had plenty of loan and permanent offers from league one 👀PWADDICK said:

i heard the defender turned up for the medical and everybody was busy and told to come back about 11 tonight and if we could fit him in after sorting a striker out , we wouldPavoren007 said:CEL may have been right - as I was told we were super close with a defender who has picked up an injury, ruling the move out. I think it is a CEL save, but jbaker right, who I suspect was in the same vicinity to me at last night’s game.5 -
Feel like MS is very easy to get on with and enjoys talking to fans about the club. Definitely seemed frustrated about the lack of outgoings.25

Whilst I agree in part if it is a permanent signing then it kind of makes sense, 1 in 3 record at 22 is decent. But we don't want a loanee that we have to teach about the game unless they are already mustard like Rak-Sakyi.Scoham said:

Yes that, part is odd, and not very professional.ISawLeaburnScore said:
I meant more on the outgoing side really. The incoming is good if they are confident but do we really want to be making public from the horse's mouth that X player doesn't want to go to Y club even though they will be paid more than here? Bit odd to me.DubaiCAFC said:
Depends on how confident they are of getting players over the line.. No point withholding information on deadline day anyway.. Early in the window I would agree.ISawLeaburnScore said:Surely Martin Sandgaard isn't going around freely dropping all that info including which clubs are in for who and how much money it would take.
Great to have open engagement on a high level basis but again where is the awareness of the line?1 -
bring back Duchatalet - last thing we need is the ownership mingling with the fanseaststandmike said:
Especially when so many on here give Thomas credit for "keeping his cards close to his chest" and "playing poker with the agents" when he plays things down in SLP interviews.ISawLeaburnScore said:Surely Martin Sandgaard isn't going around freely dropping all that info including which clubs are in for who and how much money it would take.

He (as part of the SMT football team) gave JFC a contract less than 3 months ago. Which they didn't have to. Now they want rid and nobody wants him.......jbaker said:Feel like MS is very easy to get on with and enjoys talking to fans about the club. Would say they just triggered the extension which meant they had a player on the books for relatively low wages due to injury record. Personally don’t think he will start many games due to clauses. Makes sense to extended and use as a squad player but accept any sort of fee if a bid comes in.supaclive said:

After paying his medical bills after 2 ACL injuries the club are entitled to try and get money for him.supaclive said:

Who said nobody wants him anywho? Could be the same as Gilbey where he just wont move.1 -
Good morning.
Here we go for transfer deadline day, or as it's known at Charlton, Thursday.
Seriously though, I fully expect at least one new signing. As for exits, I'd be happy if all three of those identified as surplus to requirements leave. In fact, if serious money is offered, I'd be happy for any of our number to leave, with one exception. I saw enough in the Cambridge game to conclude that George Dobson is too important to us to lose.
If JFC remains, I'd like to see him given a run as LB.3 -
Ive been told we are looking at re-signing Marquis from Bristol Rovers. He apparently impressed in that 3 day period on here when the ITK had said it was a done deal.15

The deadline day phrase bingo is well underway!Lazy_eye_metaphor said:Good morning.

Here's another one. I hope we sign Andy Williams from Walsall, but that would be too good to be true.1 -
Martin Saandgard said to jbaker last night there have been no enquiries. I read other posts before commenting 😉king addick said:

Just remembering all the renewed optimism on here when Gilbey scored that goal in a closed door friendly against Welling 😂2

Looking back I'm honestly surprised he could afford all that junk.FishCostaFortune said:

Haha Ill admit I skim read as nothing usually relevant! The trying to recoup a fee for him still makes sense though and as someone else said, he would be a cheap squad player at least.supaclive said:

Not if we can't/won't play him in the league due to clauses. Quite expensive for two more pizza and a fizzy cup games.king addick said:

Exactly, and did so before we'd got any players in and didn't know what our full squad would look like. We did the exact same thing with Inniss and so far he's been first choice CB and is on absolutely tiny wages that have allowed us more space in the budget for other signings. Taking up options on contracts is sometimes a bit of a gamble but rarely a disastrous one.jbaker said:

So much to unpack in that image, figuratively and literally. I think the mini-rolls annoys me the most, worst of the sweet snacks. Or the single Oasis, front and centre - too pricey to buy more than one.Garrymanilow said:

To all those who are seeking rumours/info from within the club, probably best not to mock those that are providing such info. You really don't make this thread easy!47

Surely won’t be the case if he stays though. I get it whilst the window is open but doubt we’ll continue it if he’s ours to at least JanuaryCafc43v3r said:

I do not think JFC will feature for us in the league and all parties will be working on his exit come January if nothing happens today for him (which I hope it does for his sake tbf).cafcfan1990 said:
