You claim he's nicking a living, and paint Burstow with the same brush, however if Burstow has the career Lookman has had so far he's made it further than 99% of professional footballers out there.
Your comment is inflammatory and disrespectful, and, quite frankly, horseshit23 -

what's with everyone digging out Mike?
he said
"From the outside it looks like he is nicking a living from the game"
which I don't think is an unfair comment when you consider that it's widely accepted that he's a lazy trainer that bounces between clubs.

Lookman stood out in L1 and it was obvious he’d have a career in the top flight.
Burstow nicked a few goals but didn’t show anywhere near the talent Lookman did. If he has a career at the top level he’d have improved a lot. He has the potential to but I don’t see it as almost certain in the way I did for Lookman.16 -

He replied "Look man I'm not gonna answer that".
I read between the lines.
An astutely shrewd communicator was Fraeye and depths of subtext that would make Kafka blush.7 -
Early days I know, not sayings its a possibility but I don't think any Charlton fan would take him back this season on a season long loan, most would prefer we gave Miles Leaburn a chance.14

So far I’ve been more impressed with Leaburn than I was with Burstow, he looks more ready to play with grown men.

It's hard to say for sure when they are both still young, one, both or neither might well go on to emulate Lookman or Shelvey and establish themselves but certainly I personally wouldn't have Burstow back if it meant Leaburn dropping out of the squad.1 -

Never convinced by Mason like others who came through. Leaburn seems much more realistic prospect. Hope Mason goes on to prove me wrong but I didn't see the potential there like I do with young Miles.1

Admin, please change the thread title, it’s giving me palpitations!3

Worth remembering how good Mason looked at U18/23 level. That goal in the semi-final of the youth FA Cup was Mendonca-level composure. He struggled at men's football but he's 19. If Leaburn struggles we'll say he's being pushed too soon.2

Bizarre comments about Lookman. He was Fulham’s best player while on loan but they got relegated so they couldn’t keep him. He was one of Leicester’s biggest threats last season but for whatever reason, financial or otherwise, they couldn’t keep him permanently despite wanting to.
He’s made 100+ appearances in top flight football across two countries, soon to be three, and as a full international with Nigeria.
Seems like a pretty decent, hard working player to me.
There are a couple of managers at Everton who called him lazy. You have to wonder with the way Everton have gone down the toilet in recent years, if managers such as Allardyce found the young flair player an easy scapegoat for their own poor performances.13 -

I defend his comment and apparently I think Fulham and Leicester wanted shot of him0 -

Am I alone in scratching my head at this. What can he possibly learn from playing in the Southern Counties League (or whatever it is). Hope he’s enjoying the extra pocket money. Could have been leading the line in league 1 learning his trade.1

Has to be some inside joke...1
