    Throughly enjoyed it, though it’s very very complicated and will take a fair while to learn all the rules…..and that’s without the tactics and control of the hammer, I’ve got a lot to learn!

    Quite looking forward to it…..evidently it’s very tactical, you don’t just go full on getting the ball through the hoops, that’s not even the half of it……although it is of course the ultimate aim.

    Harpo Marx was a very keen player and was admitted into the croquet Hall of Fame. 
    They famously have a croquet lawn at Chequers.

    Page 17 of Saturday's 'Times' has a near full page article about a form of the game, Golf Croquet .. interesting read. If anyone has access to the Times online, perhaps they can post it here
