Thought it might be nice to have a thread in honour of Andy Fletcher. There's plenty of songs to choose from, apart from all the album material they had 42 top 40 singles. Sadly, no number one though. I believe that's a record for any band, though is beaten by Morrissey if you include Smiths and solo stuff.  Anyway, here's my top five:
Never Let Me Down Again
Enjoy The Silence
Just Can't Get enough
Dreaming Of Me
World In My Eyes
                    Never Let Me Down Again
Enjoy The Silence
Just Can't Get enough

Going to have to have a relisten to the stuff I've got, or else otherwise I'm likely to inadvertently pick 5 tracks off Violator. Love that album.

Yep, I quite like them,, genuinely attended a Morrissey gig with Fletch and Martin, along with my cousins ex who happened to be their road manager. So mean of her splitting up with him.

Like all their songs, but in my view one of their very first records.
 Dreaming of me.
 Rest on a parity.1

Almost impossible for me to select a top 5 as it tends to fluctuate. However:
Blasphemous Rumours / Somebody (Double A side and the single release that converted me)
 Shake the Disease
Enjoy the Silence (favourite all time single)
 In Your Room
 Sweetest Perfection3

What a great shout Jimmy, off a really underrated album that was, at the time, a real departure for them.

Indeed. remember getting home from work on a friday getting ready to go out and was showering when i heard it, had to get out to find out who it was, bought the single the next day. Sure Charlton were away and carried the single in what ever safe haven i could before i got home.ElfsborgAddick said:Chippycafc said:Like all their songs, but in my view one of their very first records.

I particularly like the way you've put Ice Machine/Dreaming Of Me. As soon as @fadgadget said Ice Machine, I thought yes the b-side is better. Your way gets me out of the conundrum.church-lane said:PhotographicTelevision SetIce Machine/Dreaming Of Me

Yep. Struggled with that as I like them both. But Ice machine the better song and one that I used to love seeing them play live in the early days1

My mate sent me this, he is the one at the back with his mouth open , he used to spend a lot of time with Mode and even accompanied them touring .
I remember visiting him in hospital and Fletch turning up,
Ended up in the pub afterwards with Fletch buying.
 Good memories 6 6
