Isn't he the reason Purrington left there?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Ladapo would be a very decent signing, 43 goals in 107 games for Rotherham at this level.
They also released left back Joe Mattock who wouldn't be the worst signing either. Plenty of experience at league one and higher, but at 32 he maybe falls into the Gunter category of whether he can still be arsed.0 -
Lol, leave it out, we want to get out of league one.Redrobo said:Lewis Grabben out of contract in June. Maybe 34 but would love him up front.1 -

Mattock played as an attacking overlapping fullback/wingback in Rotherham's system ...... and, as we know, Purrington's a solid defensive fullback.

Ah well, based on what I have seen towards the end of the season Wednesday and Ipswich will undoubtedly be in the top6, then you’ve got Barnsley, Derby and Pboro all coming down, all of which I expect to be in a top6 push minimum. This league is looking more and more difficult. Whoever goes up as champions next season will be a quality side I imagineRodneyCharltonTrotta said:

Imagine he wants a championship move and he will get it, more than likely to one of the newly promoted sides or Preston to link back up with Lowe.ButtleJR said:I’d jizz in my Y fronts if we signed him, the most complete midfielder in league one
edit: just realised this was a bit of an off topic rant haha. Just a bit of flapping over realising how hard next season is gonna be to get promoted4 -

Who would be that surprised to see him tearing up the Prem as left wing back next season. It would be so usCallumcafc said:9 -

Wasn’t he on about 35 grand a week, can’t see Thomas paying that sort of dough if he’s already losing 8 million a year.Redrobo said:Lewis Grabben out of contract in June. Maybe 34 but would love him up front.0 -
Peterborough have placed a £10m valuation on star midfielder Jack Taylor……. silly season started

Yep. Watch him go for £2.5m and a loan for an unwanted back up left back with MacAnthony announcing what a wonderful deal it is and having a sly little dig at how much the team who took him were willing to pay in wagesmendonca said:

It's delusional that we're kidding ourselves otherwise.J BLOCK said:Lads - No one is signing without a manager, let alone someone as coveted as Ladapo.
As things stand today last season will be halcyon days by comparison to what shape we're currently in with no manager and a decimated squad 10 weeks before start of the season.
I'm really concerned at this prospect and just feel like it's more miscalculation.
Really hope I'm being overly pessimistic.1 -

Lewis Grabban is 34 !
I knew Lewis before he was shaving and a Scholar at Palace when he would occasionally bring his kid brother to matches for my team on a Sunday. His Legs are going now and he doesn't complain about being on the bench. 4 years ago great but time moves on for all of us.0 -

Used to like him but think he's a prick for mugging us off by playing along with that c*** Southall's ploy.J BLOCK said:

Certainly some worrying signs and one of the reasons I thought getting rid of Jonny when we did was madness. If the Ipswich result was not a factor as TS said I believe we should have moved him on when we were safe a few weeks before the seasons end to allow us to get a new man in ready to hit the ground running in the transfer window.yCharltonTrotta said:

That said I am not yet pessimistic; I feel our remaining players (with one or two exceptions) are strong L1 players so we have the right basis. Apart frim Iredale(?) to Bolton I have not seen anyone we may have been interested in commit to another club. We do however now need to move with pace to recruit our manager and pin down a couple of key signings to start to build momentum and show other players we mean business.
My worry, if money is tight for TS is that he starts to rely too heavily on the young kids of our U18's to fill too many gaps before they are ready. If we don't offer sensible contracts to those not signed up yet (of which there are quite a few) then that worry may be taken away in any event sadly.1 -

I thought that and then I watched Jerome Cameron who at that age moved from MK Dons to Luton and has had a good season. I watched the playoffs a d his movement and a titration plus his vision an passing are something we lack. Old doesn't mean no good. Remember Cliff Holton who at 36 joined Charlton in February 1966 and transformed the side from one that could not buy a goal to one that in his first game we t 3-0 up at Ipswich in 14 minutes and went on to win 4-1.soapboxsam said:Redrobo said:Lewis Grabben out of contract in June. We finished mid table having been dead and buried in February really.7 -

The point is the age and ability of the players. Old doesn't mean past it. We put up with Aneke who is 28 and rarely available but that is fine because he is only 28 .1 -
Calm down fella. It's not everyone else's job to proof read your posts for you. No point in going aggro over it.addick1956 said:

You must not have been paying attention. He's no wing back but as a full back he's been decent enough.wmcf123 said:
