on way to Barnehurst loads of people going back home told me not to bother as there were no trains and the station was closed. Ignored them. Got to station, waited five minutes and hey presto a train. Into Victoria then tubed it to Bank. An hour late but not too bad. People use the slightest excuse to go home. No wonder the country is going down the pan !!

Looks like from the end ish of this year there will be six trains an hour through Lee rather than four at present. Two will go direct to Victoria as the Sidcup line will get the Victoria service instead of the Bexleyheath line.
At least that’s how I understand it.

and as I understand it, it will be at the expense of the Sidcup loop line via Woolwich.  Trains will go to Dartford instead.
Not sure a full decision has been made on it yet, but looks likely.

Lee to Charlton on the loop is a nice secret service, but the 202 bus route is so good it means the loop is only needed in an emergency.
The crucial link for me is Blackheath to Charlton and back.
