Must be one of the cheapest takeovers for a Premier League club for a while.
Man City could have purchased Southampton instead of Jack Grealish for that amount.
Makes Roland's demands even more ludicrous, even if the £50m was for the Valley and Sparrows Lane.

a real steal considering the crazy amounts thats been thrown around buying football clubs recently3

Don't think it's a 100% of the club for 100mil though? Is it 80%, still only values it at around 125 mind.1

Really odd this one. Seems to have come from nowhere and a crazy price. No idea about the guy buying them but I expect he’ll need to pass the new tests etc. interesting1

plus taking on a lot of £90 of borrowing it seems

Kieran Maguire will get to the bottom of this for the Thursday podcast of Price of Football. Does seem like a relatively low price on the face of it, though, doesn't it?1

I would say 200 million for 80% is about right compared to other, similar sized takeovers?0

I've just done this years round of AML training at work too......1

bargain0

For a club that regularly churned out decent youngsters, and took on younger players and sold them on for a huge profit, this is cheap. The question is though, do Southampton still go by this philosophy?0

The Serb is the money man the ex DoF at Brentford is the brains. This could be intresting.
Jacob Roddy and Charlie Kirk could be their first signings........2 -
Does seem pretty cheap for a premier league club who get 30k crowds, 100m tv money each year and must have at least 100m of players on their books.0

The Saints owner died a few years ago and his family wanted to get rid of it for a low price?....there's hope for us when RD kicks the bucket0

Speaking with a fella at work who has 2 boys in their academy, 100 mil for 80% but includes the whole liability for outstanding debts including the very high mortgages on both the ground and training ground they have.
His opinion that ward prowse will be sold to allow them to settle all and start from 0.0
