2021-22 CL Prediction League Week 18 Results

First of all, many thanks to everyone for posting more than three games last week; it made the organisation so much easier for me. It wasn't an easy week, but this week's star pupils are @redlanered and @ThreadKiller who scored a healthy 5 points. It means that @ThreadKiller also ends the longest losing streak and hands over that title to @IdleHans. @seth plum stood alone and had faith in Accrington Stanley to beat Rotherham; he not only was the only competitor to get the result right but also was bang on with the score. At the top, @GoOnYouHaddocks has taken the lead by a single point from @oohaahmortimer, but they have opened up a 6-point game on third-placed @flyingkiwiDK. It's worth keeping an eye on Follower Fred, who is in fourth place. Maybe, there's a lesson there to be learnt from what Follower Fred does. I just hope that I don't draw Follower Fred in the Prediction Knock Out Cup, which takes place on Monday 3rd January at 3.30 pm - you can see it live at this link.

    Not looking to be greedy, but I believe I predicted the Middlesbrough result correctly, but not the score. They won 2-0, but I predicted 2-1 so this week I should be credited with 4 points instead of 3.

    Your appeal was considered by the Appeals Committee. They confirmed that you did indeed predict Middlesbrough to win 2-1 and that the score was actually 2-0. However, regrettably, the game was not on the list of matches for last week. Although failed appeals usually incur a ten-point deduction, I have used my influence to persuade the Appeals Committee to show some Christmas spirit and waive the penalty on this occasion.

    Fair enough. It wasn’t included, goodness knows how I ended up predicting it, I usually copy and paste the list then eliminate the fixtures I haven’t chosen.

    I predicted 15 results in total. Of my first batch of 10, 7 were cancelled so I did a new batch of 8 games. 

    Those EIGHT games would have earned me a pathetic 3 points in total  :D

    I was wondering why I had 4 points as I didn't realise I had one score prediction.

    However I have now realised Chelsea won 3-1,

    I should be given 5 points this week please?

    Here is the evidence:-

    Aston Villa 1 Chelsea 3              3 points - correct score.
    Brighton 2 v Brentford 1            1 point   = Brighton 2 v Brentford 0

    4 point deduction and a 1 week ban for daring to question the authorities.

    Rudders however has appealed to the EFL so his case will be heard in 2023.
