    Watched the film Tick, Tick…Boom on Netflix last night, the autobiographical musical about Jonathon Larson to whom Stephen Sondheim was a kind of mentor. A strange coincidence to wake this morning to hear Sondheim had passed away.

    I went to see Sweeney Todd at Sydney Opera House. I can’t say i enjoyed it but he’s knocked out some good ones. RIP.

    Properly iconic figure in musical theatre and, by all accounts, a thoroughly nice person, it'd be a miracle to see his like again in our lifetimes.
