As much as the laws need to be obeyed I feel the ref should have given the defender the benefit of the doubt with the penalty.

A lot of people on here feeling generous because it’s poor little San Marino.If that handball had been by a German or Italian, I really don’t think people would be saying it shouldn’t be given. The rules are what they are. You can’t deny it was a handball. Referees can’t give teams the benefit of the doubt just because they’re minnows.3
