Looking to set a big score here
  • How was that umpires call!? It’s hit him plumb I front of off stump.
What was the 3m thing? Not seen that before?
Because the technology is not 100% accurate especially for long distance tracking, if the impact is 3m or more from the stumps then the decision stays with the call made by the Umpire on the pitch

    Hmmm.

Some schoolboy fielding, letting the Saffers grab a single on a ball that went through to the keeper.

At least Jordan's slowing down the run rate, unlike Woakes ...

EDIT: And then the last ball of the over goes to the rope.160-2 with 2 overs left.
  • Credit to SA for the way they've batted, but Morgan is entitled to point out to the players that they need to maintain their standards in the field.

If South Africa thrash us it's not a gjven we win the group.   I'd like to see the fielding improve.  Way too lazy with 3 or 4 extra runs given away.

What score do we need to win the group now? Presumably 100 or so?

    106 to win the group
I want to see us WIN not limp to 107

Yeah I think we should go for it too. Pitch seems better than before.

big test and welcome wake up call today. We've had it too easy in this competition so far.

As long as we win the group I'm happy.
Especially if it sends the Aussies home.
    Plus we avoid Pakistan.

Welcome wake up call, or part of the cunning masterplan?

We need 87 to qualify, 106 to win the group, whilst SA need to win with us restricted to 131 or less.

Nailed on that England will be roughly 120 all out.

We go through as group winners, the Saffers also qualify, and the Aussies can go home ... what's not to like?

Roy's gone down. Doesn't look good
  • Oh balls. Roy crocked.
  • Oh Lordy. Looks like Roy has pulled a muscle again. That is him out for the tournament I suspect

Why do broadcasters feel the need to apologise for people hearing swearing at a live event? It's not like they've done it.

    I agree it’s a fucking disgrace.

Hopefully one of the mods will apologise for my bad language in a minute
  • So am I right in saying that England need to get to 87 to get through and Australia need England to get to 131 for them to get through too?
