Oh whoops, I do always get Sidcup and Bexley muddled up
  • And the other former Bexley CC Scot, Calum MacLeod (now Lordswood), goes too.

Just interrupting this Cricket Broadcast to say that I have just seen one of the worst "schooling" runs ever by Adam Wedge on a horse called Lusitanien in the 1.00 at Chepstow. Come to accept that from the Even Williams stable especially for a Rucker owned horse but, even so, would expect the stewards to do something!
  • This game is sadly going nowhere now. All about NZ improving their NRR
  • Scotland gave it a good go and only lost by 17 runs in the end
  • Oh my word! Afghanistan win the toss and will BOWL first. They've listened!

    Come on Afghanistan!

Really looking forward to Afghanistan win this game.
It would be brilliant just to see the look on kholi's face.

That would be hilarious and a great story for Afghanistan
  • Shame Mujeeb is injured. Makes it even more crazy that they left Qais Ahmad out of the squad

That was very clearly a political decision. They have at least two other mystery wristspinners who didn't make it either

Certainly out the traps fast, at 10 an over after 3

Losing Mujeeb has essentially ruined their entire bowling plan, wouldn't be surprised if India get to 200

Not going at all like I wanted it to.
85 without loss after 10 overs.
200 on the cards here unless someone produces a little magic.

91 form 11, India should have several more gears. Be nice if they suddenly lost a few wickets
  • I did say Afghanistan should have batted first didn't I?

Kohli protecting his average by sending Pant in. Won't field either due to a serious case of pad rash and helmet hair!
  • Topley has replaced Mills in the England squad. One injury ravaged bowler replacing another!
  • Now this is either a different India or this pitch is more of a road or Afghanistan haven't been that clever with their bowling with what is a weakened attack. Or a combination of all three.

  • Meanwhile Kohli continues to do his stretches just in case he's needed to bowl
  • So 211 to win.

Definitely looked the best deck of the tournament so far, but 211 is far too many to chase

Good news. It seems that discussion of Gary Ballance is now unlikely to take up too much time in future England selection meetings.

What has happened to Bangladesh!? A few month ago they beat Australia 3-1 and New Zealand 3-2. Looks like they've forgotten how to play!

What's happened is that they won those matches on absurd raging bunsens, packing their side with spinners, thus woefully mispreparing themselves for pitches which turn less

They also won games without really scoring any runs themselves. Nobody could score runs on those pitches. The difference is that while their batsmen are terrible anywhere, everyone else's batsmen can at least grind out a score of sorts on these pitches
  • How good a bowler is Zampa! These SL batsmen, just the one wicket down and brought up on playing spin - he just hasn't allowed them to dominate just when they are looking to kick on.
5-19 today and figures for the tournament of 15-0-89-10
  • Australia will look to knock these 74 runs double quick to get them above South Africa on NRR
