That review was a bit suspicious. Looked like less than 50% of the ball hitting leg stump so should’ve been umpires call no? Whoever is at the other end needs to just rotate the strike to Buttler while he’s in.

It's not a curse though. As I said during the IPL, batting second out there is a massive advantage. All the stats prove it. And it is an unfair one that can make anything between a 10% to 30% advantage to the team chasing.Chris_from_Sidcup said:The curse of batting first goes on
But there is one other thing too. When I questioned last summer why we kept insisting on chasing when we won the toss, I was told that it was important that we did so in order to win those games against Sri Lanka. Well we are now trying to learn how to bat first when it really does matter.0 -

It's not as much a psychological problem as it is a difficult one to combat in conditions that are totally foreign to those who struggle to time a ball. Also, we aren't as good a batting side as some people think we are because at least three of our top six have been badly struggling for form - namely Malan, Morgan and Livingstone. Buttler and Roy being so successful has masked that.
For that reason, I suggested at the outset that Moeen Ali should be batting where he was, a lot of the time for the winners of the IPL, in these conditions at 3. Now he's going to have to try and bomb a few late on in order to get us some ort of score0 - Sponsored links:

I also think that Morgan is trying to take it to the last 5 overs simply because he doesn't trust those to come to not get out trying to launch it from the off in these conditions. And to be fair he knows about them as much as anyone else does. Issue is that he isn't rotating either0

In the modern game (and especially white ball) you will not find a single keeper who isn't someone who can bat in the top six. Buttler, Bairstow, Billings etc etc and from the perspective of having a balanced side they have to be able to do both.Pelling1993 said:

Morgan is currently ranked the number 16th best T20 batsman in the world. Oh and the one below him is Buttler!2
