    Kane has been poor again.

He has struggled tonight but Harry had scored in 15 straight qualifiers.

The number of times we backtrack and allow Hungary to reform, when better ball control/passing and a bit of ambition could see us cause them problems.

Yeah dont ever see the sense in taking him off - You always surely hope that there will be one chance that will fall his way.

The only team he's scored against this season is NS Mura.

As it stands, with Albania and Poland at nil nil, only three points required from the last two games to guarantee qualification:

    Albania (H)
    San Marino (A)
Poland now 1-0 up. Four points needed from Albania & San Marino.

My mistake, his England games didn't show up.

Two penalties and goals against a Slovenian team.

A striker goes through a short poor patch and now he’s being doubted. Mad.

If we cant do that then we dont deserve to be at another World Cup

Poland have to play Hungary themselves

Although we didn’t look great most of the game I thought we had the potential to open them up
    down the left side.

Grealish coming off nullified any threat we had.

Fair play to Hungary though. They have played very well with some nice pressing and smooth counter attacking football.
  • “So Gareth, why did you take off our best player, Jack Grealish?”

    A load of shit.
  • Them scenes from the Hungary end. Our police are a joke.
An embarrassment, only fancy the easy battles.
  • Well, that was shit.

First home points dropped in qualifying since Ukraine in September 2012. Think we're allowed one stinker every nine years...

That was painful. But better to get it out of tge system tonight.

Taking Grealish off was a bit of tactical stupidity.

I respect Southgate for trying the attacking line up. It was a very good time to try it out.

It’s also my biggest concern with him as a
manager. I don’t think he knows how to play an
    attacking system.

There’s almost too much attacking quality there and he’s trying to just squash it all together, but it doesn’t quite work.

It doesn’t help that he seems to see Mount as the first name on the team sheet, when in all honesty I think he may be the weakest player of that attacking group (Kane, Grealish, Foden, Sterling, Saka). That is not to say he’s bad, I just don’t quite think he warrants a guaranteed starting spot in the team.

When the oppo sit that deep and we're playing in such tight spaces, surely Grealish is exactly what we need. Really strange decision to take him off and we didn't threaten them after that.

    Bang on mate.

Grealish was the only one with intent and capable of making something happen.

To much going back, also thought Mings was taking to long with the ball and to negative at times when he could have pinged the ball to the flanks quicker.

Thought Sterling was not at his best tonight as well.

There’s no way the FA will sack him and the players seem to like him.

I do feel it’ll be his decision making that costs us though.

Cafc fans saying England are shit !

I thought we would go up a gear 2nd half after getting a decent Rhythm as the first half went on. Didn't happen.

Hungary were good tonight and it was a good test for England but I wanted Southgate to trust Foden in the middle and Grealish on the left with Shaw for the duration of the game.

There was 5 Man City players on show tonight; Harry Kane looked upset he wasn't the 6th.
