Are we expecting a very cold winter ?

A trip to the local rubbish dump this morning and front and centre there’s a gleaming snow plough/grit spreader among the council vehicles. A 65 plate so obviously had a major servicing and overhaul to look as it does, this thing looks like it’s more suited to 6 foot drifts than the stuff we normally get in SW London. Either it’s being put up for sale or somebody is expecting a really bad winter. Must be well overdue one TBF.
