Match was restarted with only Nice on the pitch after Marseille refused to come back on. Nice have been awarded a 3-0 win as a result.

Payet, whilst not deserving to be pelted with things in the first place, caused that throwing a bottle into the crowd and should be suspended for it1

Not on subject but meant to be in nice for a week 11th - 18th September was going to try and get tickets for Monaco Marseille as nice are away whilst I’m there - anyone ever been or bought tickets0

How can you assault opposition players and invade the pitch then when they don't want to continue, your team gets awarded the game?!6 -
A 3-0 win for Nice will surely not stand.
Match should be replayed behind closed doors later in the season.
In terms of punishments, Nice should have to play 3-4 home games behind closed doors and Payet should get a suspension for the same number of games.3 -

They were but 3-0 is the default win awarded for forfeiting the match. Marseille did that by refusing to come back out. I agree it will surely be overturned and the match replayed.Gribbo said:Thought nice were only 1 up?2 -

Good on Payet in my opinion.
Shouldn't have done it obviously but sometimes the fans get away with murder because they're in a large group.
Has any member of a crowd been done for assault from chucking a bottle on a pitch at a footballer? Because they should.3 -

Nice have been docked two points, one of which is suspended, and must replay their Ligue 1 game with Marseille after crowd trouble led to the match on 22 August being abandoned.
Marseille's Dimitri Payet was hit by a bottle and threw it back into the crowd, causing fans to storm the pitch.
Payet, team-mate Alvaro Gonzalez and Marseille coach Pablo Fernandez have all been sanctioned.
The match will be replayed behind closed doors and at a neutral location.
Nice's punishment included a total of three games to be played behind closed doors.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) announced its disciplinary decisions on Wednesday night with Payet handed a suspended one-match ban.
The Frenchman's team-mate Alvaro Gonzalez has been banned for two matches while Marseille physio Pablo Fernandez has been given a nine-month touchline suspension, until 30 June 2022.
