Joni Mitchell recorded by Jimi Hendrix....... yeah you read that correctly! .....this tape and others have emerged after 50 odd years, and anything by Joni, let alone having a
Hendrix connection has to be a thing of wonder. Joni of course wrote Woodstock , but never played there, but did write the 'anthem of a generation'. Jimi was in town and simply recorded the gig. Jimi was always going to any music he could access, especially after his show, and would Jam with anyone, Jazz, Soul, Rock and Roll.

I always think of them as OUR band, me and my pals. Saw them from the days of megadog and Lemon Interupt, to Rockit on Holloway Rd, onto various gigs at the Brixton Academy, to seeing them progress through the stages at Glastonbury. The year when Rick said "look at us on the gronw ups stage" before they started a classic set on the Pyramid stage sent shivers up me. Love em.
