Imagine if it was the other way round.3

Give Derby a 40 point deduction this season, if they get relegated without it carry it over to next season.Wycombe owner Rob Couhig has accused Derby of "systematic cheating" and has threatened to sue the Pride Park outfit for millions of pounds if his club are denied a place in the Championship because of the timing of a disciplinary appeal.

its basically a week's wages for Wayne Rooney's Derby County's Wayne Rooney. Independent panel? Who TF are these cretins?

I look forward to Wycombe being fined for challenging the decision.9

It's almost like the other 70 don't care as long as its not them that miss out. Its almost like they either know they could be caught next or they will need to sell up and can't be too fussy who they sell up to.
This could have all been done and delt with years ago, if the members had the appetite.2 -

Derby were fined 5k but Peterborough who were running away with the 3rd division suffered points deduction which made promotion impossible. Players lost interest and it took years for Peterborough to recover from that.2 -
Luton Town had a 30 pt deduction in 2008/9.1

The rules for points deduction for entering admin and leaving without a CVA are quite clear and applied almost consistently, and fans moan about that. It's the financial "misdemeanours" that aren't and are the issue here.2 -
It will finally be resolved in November, at which point Darby and Wycombe simply swap places and carry on.0

The EFL should punish them by announcing relegation for last season and a penalty of 20 points for each of the years they cheated. That would then give them a big decision to make. Take it on the chin and get on with it, or go through a painful series of appeals with no certainty of winning, players not wanting to join, and a very crap season with no interest by anyone in their results - and hopefully relegation.
Cheating is the lowest you can get in sport. Cheats need to be made an example of.4 -

A complete joke12

Put the statement out just before everyone goes home for the weekend and hope it's all blown over by the time they come back on Monday. Classic EFL.15
-
No punishment then. EFL are a joke of an organisation.4

So they get away with just a fine of about a weeks wages for Rooney?0
-
Basically just saying to teams that they can do whatever they want and get away with it....again. Spineless4
-
I’m fuming, yet not even surprised. This independent panel are worse than EFL!3

What a pointless farce saying the fixtures were interchangeable.
No one is buying it but they still do it. Because the can - unfortunately

EFL - TWATS0

Toothless and incompetent ... and what is even worse, they have now encouraged teams to cheat because the fine is negligible5
-
Typical gutless EFL. Wonder what the approach would be if it was Wycombe flouting the rules4
-
back handlers galore no doubt.
EFL are either totally incompetent or bent.2 -

Unlikely to happen, but fans should boycott Derby and their sponsors.1
